BG is gonna beat Akron next Saturday after a road win at EMU. The Zips just lost J Wood for the remainder of the regular season and I think our cats want another shot at Akron.

I can't wait to get there Saturday...DH in hoops and some Polleyes in between. Roll Along...
+1 to just about everything you said bro, EXCEPT......."Polleyes".....what happened to Myle's????
I've told the Freaklings about the breadsticks at Polleyes and their eyes have glazed over. Gotta spread the love, babe! Love Myles but Polleyes ain't bad either. ;-)

Except in 2005 when they won by 2...and 2006 when they won in overtime...and 2007 when they won by just 6...and overall, where BG leads the series 25-16.

The upcoming schedule is formidable, but we were supposed to bow down and kiss the feet of Miami and Ohio before and winded up sending them home with losses. It might be in their best interest to be worried about the BG Falcons.
There's a problem with all those games you mentioned Joe. We've lost all those games. Plus, we've had a 31-point defeat and a 36-point defeat in that span as well.

As for us leading the overall series by that much, that's an eye-popping set of numbers seeing as we've never beaten them recently. We need to change that on Saturday.
The slim margins of the recent games (not the outcomes, which unfortunately went to the bad guys) and BG's advantage in the overall series were cited in response to your comment that "Akron usually kills us whenever we play them."

Few things would please me more than beating Akron, but Ryan Autullo's lead in the UT game writeup was spot-on: this season has already been a success by any measure. Could you imagine if we played in the West, aka the MAC's JV division?

Exactly. When can we appreciate what this team HAS DONE, instead of continuing to harp on what they allegedly "CAN'T DO"?

Because some of us aren't satisfied with beating up on the MAC's bottom feeders. We want the big boys now!

I get the feeling "some of us" will never be satisfied. :?

(Mind you, that's not always a bad thing... but you gotta have some perspective.)

As for the "bottom feeders"...weren't WE supposed to be the bottom feeders this year? Weren't we playing up to that tag through much of December? Just enjoy each game as it comes, and scream your AZZ off when Kent and Akron brings their happy asses to town.
