Does the athletic department advertise at all for the home games besides the BGNews?? Does anyone no anyone in the athletic department that can send out a mass e-mail to everyone on campus, to open their eyes to the success that this team is having and let them know about the game on Saturday??
I remember when I was a student, occasionally they would give away t-shirts to the first 500 students.....why haven't we done this in what seems like 5 years.

Wait, I'm confused. Were you in the band section, or on the floor? If you were on the floor then you were about 3 or 4 people to my right.FMBfan07 wrote:ya i am always in the front row... starting 2 games ago we had signs for all of the players. Re: Now thats what I'm talking about.........
Thanks HammB, it would be great to meet some of you all too, and my dad would probably have some interesting stuff for the old timers here, though he doesnt talk about it much.hammb wrote:A good start would be to keep feeding Nate whatever he ate Sunday before the game. If he can give us 21 & 11 every outing, I'll like our chances no matter who we're playing! Dude's been getting beaten up all year, and still he's coming out and playing his ass off for us.falconmama2007 wrote:Let's get to the solution. What can I do to play a part? I know as a parent I yell, but I'd like to see everyone involved. We can do this. We can win. Let's motivate this team so tough that even when they go on the road our fans will be with them in spirit. Please tell me what can I do?
Globetrotter: You may want to inquire about chairback reserve seats for your father. They're more comfortable than the wooden benches, and only a couple extra bucks per seat. Call the ticket office, I'm sure they'll have plenty of decent seats still available. And if you feel like it feel free to head over to the student section to introduce yourself
I will be calling tomorrow.

Re: Calling All Fans
Well the last time this was attempted (1/5/08), all those Bobcat fans who thought they would own AA went home with a loss, so hear is to making it 2-0 when away fans try this.falconmama2007 wrote:So here is the deal: He revealed to me at the last Akron game that he was assembling 1000 Zip fans to come to the Akron/Bowling Green game and they were going to own our house.[/b]
I would be there Saturday but I'm heading to Omaha for hockey

To the dedicated row of fans
What do you think would bring a better turn out? Have you tried anything or do you just focus on you being there? I luv that line of fans we have!!!! It just saddens me that its only 1 row. I must admit I luv your dedication and your passion for the game. How about also requesting the band to distract the opponents while shooting free throws? Talk to me fans.

Living 2 1/2 hours from BG does have its disadvantages. But I will be able to make it up for the last two home games and the Freaklings will be with me. It helps when BG comes to Akron and Kent, although this year was kinda tough.
I like watching this team a lot. Frustrating at times and yet exciting and heart filled play. They are growing...JJ is my new fave player. Polk is great to watch. Moten has been great and Miller is a beast...He should play linebacker. LOL. Clements and Knight have found ways to contribute. And I know Larson takes a beating here but I felt he played a good game against UT. Maybe this kind of game will get his confidence going.
Get a W against EMU and then let's repay Zippy for what happened over here a few weeks ago.

(Although didn't Miller play DB in high school? It would never work...
)
Seriously, I love watching Nate's combination of intensity and looking like he's just out there having a blast. And even though the results might have had something to do with it, it seems like he's harnessed the intensity into using it positively. (I first saw them play Temple, and then saw them at Ball State.) Things are only getting better for the Brown and Orange on the hardwood!
I wish I could make it back for one of these home games... unfortunately, I'll be working and handcuffed to gametracker and Todd Walker.

Todd Walker is the next best thing to being there in person. I agree about Nate...dude is DRIVEN. The team is enjoying playing and it shows. A most dangerous team come tourney time. Good thing I get 20 days PTO from the job cuz I'm takin days off come MAC Tourney time for both teams. We can't make it to FLA for spring break this year so that saves days.TG1996 wrote:Amen, Freak!

Didn't you complain last year about the band not being spirited enough? I joined the A-band this year and I can assure you we are over there screaming and waving our instruments in shooters faces when they're at the line. Some of the most spirited people at this entire university are in the band program, FMB A-band or even just in the CMA.
Yeah right girl!

I see you guys.....
Yes last year I complained and I have seen a change. What I am talking about is some sort of distraction. Like waving falcon heads or something creative that can shift focus like the other teams do. I wish you could see what is behind the Falcon basket when shooting the free throws at Ohio, Toledo, and Akron.
Don't be defensive. I mean well. I am not trying to attack the band or the fans. I am just saying that I'd like to see more and the team feeds off of it. I shared this post with some of the team and they liked it. They said they I was getting them more hype. Thats all.
