Congratulations on a very BIG WIN from an Akron University Alumni. With the youth on this team you should have a very good season next year. With the new arena hopefully the campus will get behind the Falcons BB team.

Just out of curiousity maybe you could explain what you mean by "gangsta' ball"? Maybe some of the parents of BG players read this board and don't know what that means- I know what it means, but maybe not everybody does. On the other hand maybe everybody does know what that means.

Just taking a guess, I'd say it refers to selfish, me-first, fundamentally weak, show-off playground style basketball as opposed to unselfish, fundamentally sound team basketball reflecting the sound coaching tactics of a gentlemen who spent over a decade in the NBA.

Just taking a guess I'd say you know better. Wonder if that gentleman coach would agree with your assessment and the term "gangsta ball"?

C'mon h2oville, you already made us feel guilty about taking attention away from poor old Bob Nichols, and now you want to imply cowboyjoe is a racist because he used a basketball term that denotes selfish play?

You're usually more judicious when you feel like butting in and throwing cold water on our fun.

You think its easy being the only one on this board with a character so pure that I am forced into the role of the board's conscience? Heavy lays the crown... ;-)

I hate political correctness as much as anyone, but 'Gangstaball' is a good word to to throw in the trash.

Besides, it doesn't describe Kent's style at all. Not even close.

Really it only applies to Toledo, sorry Kent. They do run a pretty tight ship over there. Untucked shirts, not paying attention to the coach during time outs, sulking after being taken out of the game, flipping off opposing teams' fans, beating up your old lady landlord, sucker punching your teammate(Pinson) during practice, and shooting 3 pointers at the buzzer when you are up 9 and the line in vegas is 9. You know--gangsta' ball.

A lot of that crap was Keith Triplett. Let's remember that we had a guy hold up a store for cash and flee on a bike.

Exactly BO. And there have been other issues with BG players as well-although the UT untucked shirt thing is absolutely unexcusable and a clear sign of "gangstaism". Interesting that other BG fans felt I was implying that CJ was racist-

Was that three pointer by Sammy Villegas in Cleveland a few years back? I thought the same thing when it was shot. Thankfully, I had the Rockets that afternoon :-)

Yeah, but he held up the liquor store after his senior season was over and not on "Dakich's" watch.
