did you really have to quote me there? I look like a short bus occupant the way I typed that sentence.
I know b/c of this glorious website! and I have many friends that tell me these things. I read the BG news everyday when im in town too.
Thats cool that you got to talk to GB, I myself have only had a few words with him. Ive sent him a few e-mails, but he seems too busy to reply to them, as they are very short responses.

My personal highlights were getting flipped the bird by a Croatian, and getting an offical to cry. However that was a few years before the sideline crew started to show up.
Dakich set the new standard for reaching out to students. It wasn't something done much before he got here. He and Urban really seemed to hit it off. He's corn-fed, midwestern stock, so he "gets" living in a town like BG. I think the town likes him because he doesn't just show up for work. You see him riding bikes with a flock of little kids during the summer. You see him at Bob Evans, at church, etc. He doesn't put walls up, and folks genreally let him blend into the background.
I shook his hand and introduced myself at his introductory press conference, and he's never forgotten my name since. I recall seeing his dad tearing up as he was introduced as the head coach. I recall the next years media guide had his dad's picture in it.

Re: t-shirts?
No...actually the shirts are white and say "Bowling Green Basketball" (with the new logo) on themDayons_Den wrote:Were the T-Shirts the same "Sideline Squad" t shirts that were handed out last year and are for sale now at SBX??
Or are they a new design?
Plain and simple...I like them!
