I was 2 years ahead of him at Clay. Actually, he was a really nice, personable kid. His family was known, liked, and respected in the area. When he got to BG, it was like he lost his fricken mind. His attitude soured and it never really made any sense to anybody. None of the other players were really on board with him. He spewed a lot of negativity, and personally, I think he had a lot of influence of Jay Zulauf's decision to leave the program. (Zulauf was a medical redshirt out with mono at the time.)
