What a BS excuse, but thanks for getting it and sharing. If it were lumped in as a blackout, why didn't it just black it out? Someone somewhere had to be sending the feed of crap programming out (though that Washington St. golfer was kinda cute...), if it were lumped into a blackout, why did any programming show up at all? When the CBJ game was underway, DISH straight told me it was blacked out, but during the allegedly blacked-out BG game, I get Karate Weekly?

I've worked in TV for 15 years and it still doesn't make sense to me.

Contrary to popular belief, CBC was one of the lowest, if not the lowest, viewed channel on TWC. Couple that with the cost of copyright to carry the channel, it was a waste of channel space.

Headline News is being simulcast due to contractual obligations. Beginning March 8, it will only be available on the lower channel position.

When a game is blacked out, alternate programming is normally used to avoid having a black screen with nothing on.

Kent State and Akron have a contract with FSN Ohio to broadcast its last 6 games (4 mens and 2 womens) not sure if it is still 6 or maybe 5 now. All during the game it said Kent State Sports Network provided by FSN. I honestly believe this game was just broadcasted locally back in the Kent area or NE OHIO. I have DirecTV and it was on 3 channels. IT WAS NOT ON DISH NETWORK, only DirecTV. It was blacked out in Indy, Cincy, and CBus.

I strongly believe the Womens game Saturday will be blacked out as well as the Akron game on Sunday.

Dump TWC and get DIRECTV
I sat in my man cave and watched it on Dish Network last night. I must have been dreaming. And I do not live in NE ohio.
