Dustin at it again

When I first joined this board I was annoyed for how much crap DustinXtreme got, but I completely understand why. He complains about people not standing or cheering which I also understand... But he needs to realize he is probably the main reason people don't want to stand on the sideline and chant throughout the game. He is an embarrassment to the whole falcon fan base. Constantly doing his "suck it" gesture (which is probably the most childish thing to do even maybe 10+ years ago, yet for some reason he thinks its cool). Constantly yelling into and annoying the ears of referees, and all of the previously mentioned things he does. He and his small crew are the reason people don't want to join in and stand, for the sake of embarrassing themselves.

DustinXtreme... nobody wants to join you, not because we aren't falcon fans, because we are falcon fans. You poorly represent what you are actually seeking to be a part of at games. Half the time you are standing you are quiet, with your arms crossed. You diss on the fans that are at the games. I'm guessing that you aren't a student at BGSU, which is fine, neither am I.. but I'm also guessing you keep the students of BG from being a part of a true standing student section. Maybe if you grew up and stopped acting like a child, people would take you seriously and want to be a part of what you keep on crying about. Until you move to a different part of the arena, sit down, and shut up... things will stay the way they are. That's just the way it is.

This is exactly how I feel. I think it's great that he is such an avid fan of BG sports, but people in the crowd need to know their place, for lack of a better term, and let students be students, and fans be fans.

doubt it was Dustin then if said fan goes to hockey games as well, never have seen Mr. Xtreme there, which surprises me since thats where the standing happens

Now I am really ticked off. Late last night my Dad called me asking if I got online and happened to read The Sentinel. He specifically asked me about the letter Dustin had written. I told him I read it and then he told me that something needs to be done about Dustin. Now let me first start out by saying my family are generous donors and my parents have had the same orange chairback seats for men's and women's basketball games for 28 years and the same seat for football and hockey for 34 years, so I value his opinion. My Dad told me that there is a couple that attends the men's games and brings their three children and two neighbor girls. A few weeks ago Dustin was sitting near this family and was swearing and doing his suck it antics, along with trying to make the fans stand. This couple asked Dustin to refrain from swearing and his hand gestures and Dustin went off on the family and said he is entitled to do whatever he wants. My Dad told me this couple has written a letter to BGSU but no reply as of yet. Additionally this family of five and their friends refuse to ever attend a BGSU sporting ever again. THIS PISSES ME OFF. HOW MANY OTHER FUTURE FANS HAVE DUSTIN SCARED AWAY. Something needs to be done. And he wonders why no one stands and why our attendance is what it is.

Any fan can be removed from any game by the game ushers I would imagine. Next time something like that happens, just get an official from the University and them toss him.

That's easy. Next time I see him at a game and I'm shooting photos, I'll ask him to sit down because I'm working. And if he doesn't respect everyone else around him, I'll make it clear that he should.

You know its funny because at the Akron game I took my fiance and her friend, now my grandfather has had the same seats since the 70's up on the east side right in front of the video crew area. My grandfather doesn't go anymore but I still make it to as many games as I can. Ive seen Dustin do his crazy things from time to time but never payed as much attention to him as I did at the Akron game. I was just watching the game when my fiance said, "holy crap is that guy air thrusting?" and I was like oh yea its that guy. Between him and the guy on the bass guitar in the pep band, it was crazy how they were still able to pay attention to the game! And yes, Dustin needs to be stopped. It looks childish and its said that I can clearly see it from all they way up there. To me its almost as embarassing as having Charile Coles as a head coach!
