I had high hopes for Ronald, I thought he'd be our next MAC POY. I thought he had a legit shot at making the NBA. However, his bolting for the reported reasons reveals a character flaw that I was not fully aware of. He doesn't have the heart. There were times when I thought he was just going through motions on the court last year (Option has made mention of our discussions), but I thought he was just having lapses from a young player. I thought he'd realize this in the offseason and work to improve himself so he could help the team and eventually make it to the big show. Apparently he felt as though it was the system holding him down and he'll bolt to another situation for himself.
I don't think Ronald Lewis will fail to make the NBA because of his physical ability. I don't think he will fail to make the NBA because he's transferring. I do think that he will fail to make it in the NBA for reasons that are consistent with why he's transferring. He just doesn't have "it".
