HaHa! I thought maybe you were posting from a phone. Sometimes those little buttons are a pain to hit when you're in a hurry typing!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I would just like to add that this was a great end to the AA era. Everything went great! I usually sit way at the top in section L right in front of the camera platform (i always used the legs of the platform as a back rest). I started going to the games with my grandpa when I was 5 years old and my grandpa and I only missed 3 home games from age 5 till I was 18. This game against Buffalo we sat on the other side right by the BG bench in the first row(because my grandmother cant climb stairs anymore). It was great going with them because my grandfather introduced me to falcon sports and when I think about BGSU I think of all the times my grandfather and I got to spend together at bg football, hockey and basketball. My grandfather got into BG sports when my grandmother started working in memorial hall in the late 60's (she finished her years at bgsu in the eppler center). My grandma had a lot of relationships with student athletes over the years and when I started going with them I met a lot of players over the years. Anderson Arena really meant a lot to me and I was there for a lot of my childhood. I remember getting out of school and just waiting at my grandparents house for my grandpa to get off work and come home so we could leave for the game. He used to tell me all the stories of all the great events that took place in AA and educated me on everything BG. Seeing all the falcon greats together at one time was so wonderful. The post game presentation was a great way to say goodbye to such a special place. I look forward to the Stroh Center but will always miss Anderson Arena and all the great memories it brought to me throughout my life!

Funny but my high school (Columbus Grove) had the same fight some and it was named "Onward Bulldogs." I think you are right...its "Forward Falcons."

Grant's got it!!

The ceremony was really nice, the only downside was having to play 38 consecutive Ay Zigs at the end. Ow!!

No kidding. This thread was embarrassing to read.

The whole day was simple and well-planned. I would have only one improvement and that would have been to individually recognize each Falcon basketball alumni but time probably was the ending consideration.

Walking across campus I had two thoughts:

1. I going to miss walking across campus on Saturday afternoons.

2. Why can't they take some of this planning for each and every event. I have never felt they have handle an event as well they did Saturday.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

REMEMBER - AA is NOT CLOSING

Post by transfer2BGSU »

Just a reminder folks, but AA is not shutting its doors. We will still be holding gymnastics in the old girl.

The squad will train and compete in AA next season. So you can still come on in and have a fun time in AA next year!
