There has to be a middle ground. We were told we couldn't bring Tootsie Rolls into a football game. Luckily, we were given the heads up and managed to execute a covert operation, but doesn't that seem kind of silly?

I can see not letting people bring in sandwiches, sodas, etc. But little things like lollipops and Tootsie Rolls? C'mon.

I'm fairly sure I saw AD GC and some young ladies sitting behind the basket at one of the Women's BB games, eating something out of a sandwich bag. It didn't look like anything sold at the concession stands.

But I could be wrong.
Here's something to ponder:

point: Sic Sic brings candy to throw at / to the crowd.
point: It wasn't purchased at the concession stands.
Question:Is Sic Sic candy contraband?
Discuss.

Factman brought him in an extra sandwich! Or was it Drago? ? ? Big 'ol Bologna thing. Looked good.

Perhaps if there was decent sh!t for sale, at decent prices in the concession stands, folks would be more inclined to 'buy' as opposed to 'bring' their own stash man. :smt028

People seem more concerned with food than the game...no wonder were a nation of lard asses... :)

Don't worry folks....according GC on the "Ask the AD" segment these are just some bugs they are working out. Maybe next season they'll get it right in regards to how they treat people. Suckers and keychains will be able to enter the Stroh...lol.

Also, the only sandwich I would give GC is poop on wheat...(white bread isn't good for you).

and I'll never understand that, especially when people complaining about pricing, concession pricing is awful everywhere, anyone who has ever gone to one sporting event in their life should know that, and if you don't like the food, well there are plenty of places you can see out those giant Stroh Center windows with better food at better prices, though I will say this, $3 for two big half dipped in chocolate Fracklate chip cookies that are fantastic is a steal, no one would be complaining if they just bought those instead

oh and I thought the reason we didn't draw more fans was simple, dusty  (I'll get an angry PM for that one)

Laughing my lard ass off at that. Best point made in the whole discussion.

New food policy at the Stroh sponsored by Jenny Craig?

Good point. Count me in as well. My life is too short.
