I agree and said the same thing about two years ago, which irritates the hell out of me thinking if we would have - or could have - made the coaching chance that we are now going to make after this year (not a damn thing changed in that time which only reinforces the change being made), we'd hopefully be turning the corner now. Basketball isn't as difficult to turn a mess around as it in in football for a number of obvious reasons, but our new coach is going to inherit one hell of an internal mess of a program in year one. You have to allow another year with another class of his players and then see how things pan out.

I know we're not dealing with a program at BG that is going 5-25. We're a sub .500 squad year-in and year-out that somehow manages to pull out a few wins we shouldn't. But let's not kid ourselves, despite being a team that fights like hell to finish close to .500, we're MUCH closer in terms of coaching, talent, skill, etc., to a team and program that is 5-25 than one going 25-5.
GO BG!!!

I think this team can win next year with 2 key guys, a PG and a banger in the paint.

Completely agree. Things can turn around quickly in basketball, but we also have to factor in the competition. Are the teams above us getting better or worse? Are the teams beneath us getting better or worse?
