Offer Mammoth Center. He was on our radar a few years back too.

Thats the 14th confirmed offer. I remember speculating who we might possibly recruit in the past. This is so much better.

There are at least THREE of top players from NE Ohio who've done the same thing...outstanding jr. Or soph. Yr..transfer to some out of state " power" team instead of staying at home so to speak.

What I don't get is that he was set to be a Sr but was "reclassified".

In watching the videos what I am really noticing is that we are recruiting actual tough explosive athletes. We didnt get a lot of that the last few years.

Re-classification has to do with eligibility and credits. I'm sure this has changed since I graduated in 96 but I needed 3 credits in math, 4 English, 2-3 Science and 3-4 Social Studies/History credits for minimum requirements for graduation. Then there's certain electives (foreign Lang, health and PE, etc) .... MOST of these kids that transfer to these basketball factories are lured there under the assumption that the factory "guarantees" their eligibility and that is achieved in a variety of circumstances. Some within the rules, most that approach it and some that cross the line. Others re-classify due to offers or lack thereof and to avoid "stacked" classes where say the class of 2013 was loaded with top end talent at small forward

I think that there are rules about the amount of varsity eligibility you get.

Correct! Which are typically dictated by the state. For instance, you are ineligible in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to play hoops if you turn 19 before Oct 1 of your senior yr. This is a prime example of why Rajon Rondo ended up at Oak Hill Acadamy which is not governed by the Commonwealth of Virginia but rather by an association of other prep academies/basketball factories. Findlay Prep is Nevada is NOT a school. The school is the Henderson International Trade something rather .... Findlay Prep is the identifier that they are housed under and accept sponsorships through. Its a boarding school and they have a rather interesting relationship with the state if Nevada. They will not accept a player from the state of Nevada on their team and they are not eligible for the state championship but their games ate sanctioned and any of Nevada's teams can play them

Those Nevada commissions can be tricky...
