He has one of the ugliest shots in terms of footwork I have seen. I am definitely a fan though. He reminds me of a slightly better germaine fitch.
Germaine Fitch is exactly the comparison that I mentioned during the game last weekend.

Although I would probably say post knee injury Germaine. Still a very effective player, but doesn't have the insane hops that Germaine had before his first injury.

From what I've seen of Dickerson, he's woefully UN-athletic and guys beat him off the dribble and beat him to the ball on rebounds. He's a hard worker, but you can't make up for that lack of quickness. As far as him shooting 3's...better have a new backboard ready to install. Jans looked like he wanted to kill him after he threw up a couple of shots against Akron.

Going through MAC play this year is giving coach Jans a good look at what he has in the program and what he needs going forward. I think the coaching staff has established a winning culture and gotten the team to understand the standard to get playing time is to play hard and tough. I am completely comfortable that we will not be badly outcoached again – a great sign.

I also take solace in knowing that there is always a specific, concrete reason why a team wins and loses. There is no such thing as “bad luck”. As evidenced by playing Akron, I think we are seeing we are a bit undersized and to a degree a bit behind athletically with the top teams in the MAC. I have faith that Jans and crew will bring in the right pieces to compete and win.

The fact that Gomez and Mayleben did not see action against Akron tells me we may see our 4th scholarship next year go to either a big post type player or a long athletic wing. I would hope we don’t bring in another point or shooting guard.

Any word or opinions on that 4th spot?

Since I posted this after the game at Akron, he's had some decent shooting games. I'd love for him to prove me wrong, and I'd be the first to admit it. I hope he keeps improving.

He could be a two-legged John Flowers....

I loved watching John Flowers play. Think what he could have been with two good legs?

I saw Flowers play in an all star game against a Russian jr team up in Toledo the spring before the accident..the US had Magic, Jay Vincent , John, the WWE wrestler Kevin Nash and some other guys. John didn't look out of place with that group at all...well...maybe with Magic...nobody was in his class back then.

I think Kevin Nash played at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC).

He played at Tennessee and almost transferred here IIRC after getting the gate at Tenn for smoking too much weed...and I think he hit a coach, bit the coach dared him to so,....

You don't dare people from Detroit to hit you...you just don't....
