Yeah, I guess the 450+ times (and counting) this thread has already been viewed that no one cares about It. I forgot your opinion and apathy applies to everyone. My bad.
Yeah? And how many of those 450 views were you obsessively hitting refresh in your browser? How many of those view were just to read my smart-assed responses?

OK, people, who out here besides '33 gives is earnestly thinking about our pre-conference schedule now that we're finally out from under the recurring polar vortexes? Let's have a count.

I care who we schedule. It would be great to hear about it. Last years schedule was pretty boring. Here is a story from 3 weeks ago about OSUs schedule. Are they wrong to discuss it?

Stupid...pointless and irrelevant...why bother to broach the subject until something concrete is announced? This is surely taking up valuable time and energy that could be devoted to following the OU baseball team

The issue with "complaining" and "whining" and "kvetching"isn't so much in this thread...it's the generaql tone and tenor of this board. It's May...the sun is shining, the birds are singing. The Tampa Bay Lighting are about to choke away the ECF against the Rangers. There are so many better things to be doing than obsessing about a basketball schedule...a roster...a coaches use of twitter.

f**k it...maybe I'm just tired of the whole shebang...
Then go outside and do all those wonderful things. Obsessing and complaining about the general "tone" of a message board seems like a waste.

+1. If you don't like the conversation. Don't talk about it. You are not the conversation moderator around here. Let it die if it will, let it flourish if it will.

A contributing factor seems to be the dearth of curiosity in the broader media to cover stories outside of game results or big hires. When nothing happens for days (even weeks and sometimes months) there's a vacuum that will naturally be filled with speculation from fans.

Let's assume the schedule is incomplete and is still being ironed out. Legitimate and probably true in this case. How do you feed (or acknowledge) the anticipation? Something I've seen done elsewhere is a schedule "countdown" clock where a time is set when the schedule can ultimately be revealed. You're not giving anything away but you're keeping people excited. In the interim, how about more interviews with Huger on bgsufalcons.com? So far there's been a 10 minute sit-down with Todd Walker after the hire and a linked interview with the Bossman radio show from Twitter. There could be interviews with the new assistant coaches, interactive webchats, a sit-down with the orangeandbrown.com blog, more behind the scenes stuff, etc.

Interest from fans should never be seen as a negative.

Ohhhh...I see what you did there... the "I'm made of rubber, you're made of glue" mindfuck. Well..it's raining outside and client segmentation (with respect to marketing..we aren't actually cutting on anyone) so here I am.

Interest from fans never hurt anyone? Try selling that notion to Rebecca Schaeffer....

For crying out loud, I simply saw a couple articles recently on other MAC schools releasing info on their non-conference schedules and simply ask if anyone has heard anything about ours, and some people can't help themselves from being fu**ing assholes.

I was in a big, open meadow yesterday...just lying there enjoying the sun and the birds and watching the clouds drift lazily accross the sky. One kinda looked like an M...maybe...I dunno...someone lying facing the other way might have thought it was a W.

Perhaps we're playing Michigan...or Wisconsin?

Or, will we play Wright State or Oakland at home? Maybe we'll be on the road against Eastern Kentucky in late December. I wonder if we'll have any Saturday games?

We are going to play 15 home games. Some mid week games some weekend games. Some in the evening and some in the afternoon.

We will play 9 MAC home games. A few of those games could be the MAC TV game of the week. Our last home game will be senior night. We will have one home game during winter break where the attendance will be abysmal. And yes we will have conflicts with the hockey schedule.

There it is folks our 2015-2016 BGSU Men's Basketball schedule. Order your season tickets today.
