Turner was out strictly for a precaution with his ankle tweak. He should be good to go this weekend.
Defense was rough most of the night, and effort was lacking at most times, but the team escaped with the W, and that's really all I can ask for. Just keep winning, BG.

Re: BG vs. Lake Erie College
You cannot play Good, even against a Division II team, if you're really trying to win. He just isn't a Division 1 player. He's a walkon that was given a scholarship for his hard work since we didn't give it to anybody else. REALLY could have used somebody else last night though.
I don't know why Gadson didn't play. In fact was wondering it during the game. But he did have an injury earlier in the year, so maybe he needed some rest as well. He didn't play in the 2nd half of the FGCU game after doing some good things defensively in the first half.
Without Lillard and Turner this team is just brutal defensively. Last night a good deal of the issues were effort related. Nobody seemed to give a crap about fighting through a screen or rotating for help. But beyond it just being an effort thing Lillard & Turner are our only 2 long athletes that can defend the perimeter. I see benecke says that Turner should be back this weekend, but I would expect he'll sit out at least one of those games. If his injury had him in a boot last night I cannot imagine him playing 3 games in 3 days this weekend. I will say that he was hopping out of his chair to congratulate teammates pretty good, so it must not be hurting him too badly, but that's a far cry from the lateral movement he needs to be effective.
I really hope Lillard has learned his lesson, this team still needs him.

When does Lillard return?
"All posts are to be read in the voice of Lewis Black."
Re: BG vs. Lake Erie College
He's sat for 4, so he has to sit 4 more. Looking at the schedule, he should return on the road at Norfolk State on December 2.BleedOrange wrote:When does Lillard return?
