After giving up 84, 93 and 101 pts the last 3 games...nice to see us hold OU to 48 with 43 sec left.

Final Score: BG 66, Ohio 50.

Solid defensive effort. Gotta keep it rolling. Go Falcons!

We've matched last year's win total, and there's still lots left to play.

Only criticism I'd have is .... 41 pts in 1st half, 25 in 2nd .
OU ... 19 pts 1st half, 31 in 2nd

A definite letdown with some careless passing etc.

That said...we'll take it. Shocker would be KSU knocking off UB. Hmmm, who do we play next?:)

Interesting thing that at the end of the Kent State Buffalo game they had a little squirmish, pushing and shoving. One player on each team was ejected. Wonder if they could play on Saturday.

The player for Kent was Jaylin Walker. Big loss for Kent if he is suspended.

With the way the team has been playing I would make some starting adjustment. The last 2 games Koch has done very well when Wiggins is on the bench. Plowden also was impressive in limited action lately. Kind of an odd lineup but this would be unique.

Cummings (if healthy, in not Caldwell)
Frye
Turner
Plowden
Koch

Then put in an entire new 5 after 1st Media Time Out
Cummings/Caldwell
Lillard
Fox
Uju/Gadson
Wiggins

Then at the under 12 timeout put starters back in, and keep rotating. Tell each until of 5 to hustle entire 4 minutes and play defense!!

The problem with this plan is your best players are sitting the bench for half the game. There is nothing wrong with different combinations, but your best players need to be on the floor.

I am completely on board with the new starting lineup and you can adjust things as needed depending on who you are facing and their schemes.

I would essentially go with a short bench and play 7 guys mostly despite my desire for using all 13 scholarships. 4 guys really don't do much when they are in there and can play a handful of minutes here and there without having to play major roles. Not saying Cummings or Gadson won't develop and I am glad they are here but I would continue to play Gadson sparingly and limit Cummings minutes. Fye, Caldwell, Turner, Lillard, Koch and Wiggins all play about 28 minutes each (doesn't have to be consistent but you get the idea) and Plowden picks up about 20. Then about 12 other minutes to distribute for Gadson, Cummings, Fox and Uju. My lineup would look like

1. Frye 12 Caldwell 28
2. Turner 24 Frye 16
3. Lillard 28 Turner 4 ? 8
4. Koch 16 Plowden 20 ? 4
5. Wiggins 28 Koch 12

Essentially at the first subs we just bring in Plowden and Caldwell and sub as needed based on fouls and matchups. Maybe Caldwell comes in and Frye goes to the 2, Turner goes the 3 and Lillard goes out. Maybe Frye just goes out. Maybe Frye goes to the 2 and Turner goes out. Same for Plowden. Maybe Koch leaves or slides to the 5.

Huger kind of does the Player X is Player Ys backup thing that I don't love. Not as strictly as I have seen in the past but I would definitely like to see it open up more.
