You're absolutely right on what the NBA will want to see. I'd like to see him at > 40% from beyond the arc. Range shooting generally develops/improves over time so I think that's a reasonable goal. As for the PG skills, that'll be tough here. HE's going to be our primary scorer for sure, but probably not going to be our primary ball handler. That said, he is the best passer with the best court vision of our returning players, IMO. He led our team in both assists and Assists:TO ratio. His 1.66 ratio is not too bad for an off ball guard either.

More importantly, the announcement he's returning is huge. This season has me more excited than I've been in a long time for BG hoops. Team should absolutely be the favorite going into next season, now we better play like it.

I think he's back for 2 years. I suspect he does the same thing next year and checks out his draft status. I think we make the tourney this year and he loves playing with Turner, Zeigler, Fields and Plowden, loves the coaches and comes back to go down as the all time leading scorer in BG history.

There is nothing that shows that you are a better NBA player/draft candidate if you go high major v mid major. Look at the playoffs, San Diego St and Davidson. Ja Marant will be the second or third overall pick.

I beg to differ...in the 2018 draft most of the kids taken in both rounds were from high major colleges. Guys like Ja Morant are a relatively rare exception
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

One thing about next season: we will probably get much clearer evidence on whether the coach deserved that extension. When you have one of the most talented rosters in your league, you better produce. If for any reason (other than freak injuries) this team flops, then we'll have our answer.

Zippit Flip Flapper Fapper. Most of the best players go to high-majors in the first place.
