Point being, the Cameron Crazzies come out to see Duke play the opponents, much more than they come out to see the opponent play Duke. That is what makes them a great 6th Man.
I know you weren't. I was just glad to see someone even knows about some of those schools.

My old roommate is the SID down at Elon.

Yeah, I've been to a lot of the schools in North Carolina. I've been to all the ACC schools – Duke, North Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest more times than I can remember. I've also been to places like UNC Greensboro, High Point, and will be going to UNC Wilmington in three weeks. Being an SID, I've gotten to see a lot of schools I otherwise wouldn't have gotten a chance to go to.

Ah, yes...the "Degree By The Sea".

Tom Glick is working in their Office of Admissions on a part-time basis. As I understand it, he also announces the CAA basketball tournament as well.

Man, that is one lucky basketball tournament. He was a great PA guy.

I do a lot of announcing (mainly horse shows) and I consider Glicker one of my mentors. Just thinking about how smooth his voice was and the inflections he used at the right times.

We got in a habit of doing Tom Glick impressions my junior year. His PA calls were so simple, yet so perfect. The way he'd say "Shane Komives....three point shot" like he was finishing up a sermon in church or something, or "Touchdown...Falcons" in the same tone. Of course, our favorite was one particular hockey penalty... "Bowling Green penalty on number 12 Mike Johnson, two minutes for holding... Johnson, holding, at 18:25." The end of that still cracks me up.
