A less than 1 ratio.BleedOrange wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 7:23 pmA negative assist/to ratio? It takes some unimaginably BAD playing to achieve THAT.Diemilkweed wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 4:20 pmWow. Lovely shooting stats. Rebounding for a 6'4" guy is fine. But 1.5 apg and a negative asst : TO ratio? With less than 1 steal per game?Globetrotter wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 1:04 pm https://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2022- ... mphreygxsl
This reeks of black hole on offense who doesn't play defense.![]()

I would expect some news this week on players and coaches.

Looks like the associate head coach from Southern Utah (second name) is headed to High Point

Just judging from social media vibes, I feel that Mills is gone, but Agee will return.Globetrotter wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 10:34 am I am so excited....I cant wait for the first player of the Simon Era

I'm guessing massive attrition and believe Lightfoot, Curtis and Mills are all gone. We could easily be down to 4 players right now between transfers, graduations and thanks, but no thanks.
Who those four are? No idea.

Re: Recruiting 2023-2024 The Simon Era
I don't *think* Curtis can go anywhere. He has already transferred and sat once (mid-season move from Nebraska to Evansville), and used his free transfer (Evansville to BG). Unless he has the ability to grad transfer, which I don't believe he can right now, he is basically stuck here.notkithughes wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 1:17 pm I'm guessing massive attrition and believe Lightfoot, Curtis and Mills are all gone. Re: Recruiting 2023-2024 The Simon Era
Anyone else concerned about the fact that we have many many holes on the roster but don't have any announced replacements or even a staff beyond the HC?
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Recruiting 2023-2024 The Simon Era
I wouldn’t say concerned. It’s maybe a little weird, but we’ve got time. I’m sure we’ll have a full roster and coaching staff by the time the season starts.

Re: Recruiting 2023-2024 The Simon Era
I have also seen from some Twitter accounts that I followed during the coaching search that the recruiting is in a very delayed state due to NIL and the portal still being in a state of flux. Programs and collectives are trying to verify claims made by players of NIL offers they are getting from other schools that may be false or exaggerated. They’re also players holding out on committing to mid-majors in hopes for slots opening at majors, as well as majors falsely promising spots to players as backups to players they really want but are waiting on their decisions. Sounds like fun, but may also be the reason for delayed news.
Re: Recruiting 2023-2024 The Simon Era
Yes, recruiting seems to take a lot of time, patience, and resources in the age of NIL and new transfer rules. I think coach Simon is very active though, just from briefly looking through his Twitter follows. He is tracking several transfers. I don't know enough about allowed coaching staff communications with players in the portal, or high school players, to read into what those follows mean. i.e. has he offered those guys a spot, talked about their interest in BGSU, scheduling a visit, etc? I do think he is working at filling the roster though.
