Yeah, this is over with more than 11 minutes to go. A complete blowout. Pathetic effort to end a pathetic season. I can understand the injury issues, truly. That sucks. But this is dreadful. I wouldve preferred the season end last week.
We have to be better next year. Otherwise what's the point?

Re: MAC TOURNAMENT (3/13-15)
Well, I turned it off. It looks like we quit trying. We're throwing the ball around out of desperation and just turning it over. This is what happens in a pick-up game at the rec when you're getting run off the court.
A rotation of 7 guys isn't going to cut it. Not when 2 or 3 of those guys don't belong in the rotation to begin with. This is just a product of NIL killing programs that can't pay to keep guys and then injuries to primary players. Not to take from my Cleveland Browns side of my brain, but "there's always next year."
Get some of the other guys in there and let them have some fun. Get them some of that Cleveland experience; it might help us a little bit next year.

ROLL ALONG!!!
Re: MAC TOURNAMENT (3/13-15)
On paper this should have been a pretty good roster but these guys just don’t produce. You see flashes of greatness but consistency is the calling card of great players. Our guys struggle to even make layups at times. I love the fight they showed this year and they are likeable guys but we have to have a much better roster top to bottom to compete.footballguy51 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 12:34 pm Well, I turned it off. Re: MAC TOURNAMENT (3/13-15)
Would have been better to watch the price is right then watch the exact same episode of the price is right during the second half. Second half we had 14 turnovers and allowed 8 offensive rebounds just awful.
The reality is despite the injuries we were lucky how the schedule fell this year only playing Akron, ohio, and Miami once. Counting today we went 3-9 vs mac tournament teams and 1-7 vs the top 5. Plenty of those games we played tough but we have to change that moving forward if we want to win games in Cleveland. Simon and staff are going to have to find a better plan moving forward in the portal era

Re: MAC TOURNAMENT (3/13-15)
Todd Simon said postgame that Javontae Campbell actually broke his other hand recently, as well. So he was playing with TWO BROKEN HANDS down the stretch.
What a warrior. I’d want him on my team any day.

My end of the season views are that Simon was able to get a decent amount of talent, but it was talent that just did not complement each other. When you mix that with injuries and inconsistent lineups, it was just not our year. I believe Simon is a good coach but just had too much of an uphill battle this year. I do expect an upgrade to the roster that is a little more carefully curated on skillsets rather than flat talent. I also think if we can get Campbell and Felt back, it would be a big plus. Didn't love Felt's body language today, but I can't say I would be enthusiastic when down 30. I would be fine moving on from Squire, while the others I'm on the fence about. I think Yoyo and Towns would be great contributors, but I don't have high expectations that they'll return.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Re: MAC TOURNAMENT (3/13-15)
My wife actually pointed out at the last home game that his brace was on his non-shooting hand suddenly. He didn't have both hands braced, so he must've broken one as hte ohter healed.
He & Felt are the only guys on the team I care to see back.
I'm VERY happy I never have to watch Marcus Johnson play another game.
