Reimold a pro?
I just don't get the references you're making.
At Miami Wally was the MAN. He was far & away the best player in the conference, and he single handedly carried Miami in the NCAAs. Reimold is a great player for us, and I love him, but he's not even close to what Wally was in the MAC. I think Wally averaged 24+ per game in his final 2 seasons, and also averaged over 7 rebounds.
I don't really get the Matt Harpring reference either. I haven't watched too much Utah recently, but in college he wasn't a 3 point shooter at all. Even still he averaged more points than Reimold has this year in both his junior and senior years. He also averaged 8+ boards his final two seasons in college. He was a 4 year starter, 3 time all conference pick at GA Tech, and was an all american candidate his senior season.
John, for his size, is only an average rebounder. He doesn't box out well, and gets beaten for position. Conversely both of the guys you mention could hit the boards as well as score. One of them (Harpring) scored more points, for a longer period of his career, in a tougher league than the MAC. The other (Wally) dominated the MAC on a level that's far beyond what Reimold has done.
Guys, I LOVE John Reimold. I'd hate to think where our team would be without him this season. Even still I do not think he is an NBA player. He could play overseas, but as BGSUCane said, he is not great at anything, but merely good at everything. He is a tireless worker, so if he worked and improved himself greatly he could get into the big show, but I would still be shocked to see it happen; thrilled, but shocked nonetheless.
I hope he goes on to prove me wrong, but I just don't see it happening for him.
