Right on Flip. I was announcing a swim meet at the U of Akron for my sister yesterday from 2-6 so I didn't know the outcome til I got home. I almost puked when I saw the score. Yes it has been a good season but dammit, CMU??? At home??? With everything on the line this past week, BG could have been MAC Champs by beating WMU and CMU! Miami lost yesterday and finished 12-6. BG could have been 12-6 as well and owned the tie breaker over the Redhawks. How can you not get up and be ready to play with all this on the line???? I am so disappointed in these past 2 performances.Flipper wrote:Nine seed, two seed, one seed...what the hell difference does it make? This team is playing like it knows it's dead.
Yep, it's great that everyone gave it thier all, they left it on the floor, gave 110%, they were soldiers, warriors and a veritable pack of junkyard dogs. None of that means a damn thing when you can't put a LOUSY team away when you have a 10 point lead with 10 minutes to go on your own floor.
Hard work and effort are the minimum. When tournament time rolls around, you'd better be bringing a lot more than that.
The new season starts tomorrow night. We BETTER be ready to play 40 minutes or more, if necessary. BG has made it to Cleveland every year the tourney has been at the Gund.
