1) 7500-8000 seating range with the ability of expanding to about 12,000
2) Student seating close to the floor and taking up one whole side (like AA)
3) press row on the same side as the students (like Duke)
4) practice gyms for all sports in the facility (men's and women's basketball, volleyball, etc.)
5) the ability to close off and hide seating not used in the upper parts of the center (basically being able to hide the seats so they don't show up as a large amount of empty's on TV)
6) a top knotch concert venue so we can finally bring in decent groups instead of going up to the hole in toledo
7) the ability to have unlimited tickets for commencement ceremonies

Having a larger arena will help bring in bigger schools such as tOSU's, Cincy's, and possibly UK's. However, we have to remember that convocation center's tend to be extremely sterile and you lose a lot of the emotion that an AA has.

NO...BG SHOULD NOT SELL BEER! IF you can't attend a live sporting event without having a beer during it, you may have a problem.MiamiBando wrote:It would be a crazy color scheme.... Red and Brown and Orange.
Miami has sold out Millett, I think the record was like 11,000something. I'd love to see how they did THAT!
They CAN seel Beer, and BG should do it. That would encourage me to go to a BG game or two.

Thanks Dayons!Dayons_Den wrote:You sure can sell beer at collegiate events.bgsufan1972 wrote:
You know you cant sell beer at college events. What are you thinking over there.
University of Cincinnati sells beer at their on campus venue the Shoemaker Center. Colorado State sold beer at home football games up until mid way of this past 2004 season. Heck, even at Bowling Green beer is available in the south endzone at halftime and liquor is available in the suites at Perry Stadium.
I'm fairly certain that the NCAA leaves it up to the University's discretion about alcohol sales. I'd just like to get a beer or two while watching a game, and I think its a GREAT way to increase revenue. Of course I don't know how that offsets with the potential to add additional security/etc.

I enjoy having a couple beers at a game as well. Something to look at, IMO.hammb wrote:Thanks Dayons!Dayons_Den wrote:You sure can sell beer at collegiate events.bgsufan1972 wrote:

yeah, and they could sell lesbian porn novels at the concession stands, too!golfertk14 wrote:honestly? I'd love it if they'd really call it the Ay Ziggy Zoomba Center, it'd be a nice tribute to Mr. Fox-its writer who just passed away recently.
