The blogs are a great idea.
Dakich is back at it with some good stuff (though with NCAA regulated vagueness) about recruiting, and some interesting stuff about future scheduling (including a return trip to the GMAC Bowl Tournament).

Excellent read. Painful at times, but he's typing like he speaks. That's something I have to over-look when it comes to "bloggin."
There's actually more information than I initially thought any coach would put in there.
I'm liking DD more and more.* So in that respect, the blog idea is working. I'm still wondering if this will turn into ticket sales. Putting a personality on the program and what-not.
*no, it's not like I want to pick out china patterns with the man.

I can't wait for other coaches to get on board, and hopefully this sticks. I think that almost to a person we think that DD is a good guy, but his "approval rating" with some of his antics on the court drops off dramatically. I think Brandon may be the same way sometimes, but to a lesser extent. This blog idea, if utilized properly, can take a step toward welcoming more people to the program with their everyday personalities. I've met DD a couple times, but only very briefly, and I can't help but think he's someone I'd love to golf with, or BS over cheeseburgers and beers at Al-Mar, but he gets a bad rap for his enthusiasm, temper and antics on the court. His first two entries have been very well done (even if they're not written to English 112 specifications
), and I can't wait for other coaches to pick up the baton.
And I think it will be great for the other coaches to get in on it as well. Alot of people may not even know who the women's coach, the baseball/softball coaches or even the hockey coach is, letting them welcome people to the program through a blog is an excellent opportunity, I think.

Coach is right, the golf outing is a riot. It is the most fun outing I play in all year (and I play in a ton of outings for work). If you have the cash and time, it is worth it. You get to talk to current and former players, the coaches, food, prizes, and, oh yeah, a boat load of beer.
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.
How much is it? Is it too late to register? Must you have a foursome?BGorDeath wrote:Coach is right, the golf outing is a riot.
