Again, I think this points to Dakich's weird substituation patterns. Polk and Larson started just a few games ago and now Larson didn't play at all last night. Guerin started (and played pretty good imo) yet he didn't play at all last night. What gives?hammb wrote:However, Dakich seems to actually have something against playing them out there together. Last night they subbed one for the other almost all game long.
But I am especially baffled by the big men. On the pre-game he talked up Reitz so much, you would think he would be the difference in the game. If he is their best player, wouldn't you consider just running Polk/Larson/Lefeld out there and use up their 15 fouls beating Reitz up all night? But those three combined for 7 total minutes.
Dakich realizes that we get out rebounded game in and game out yet doesn't appear to do anything about it. It is especially noticable because we are usually playing Miller at PF and he is only 6'4". Then you add a 'soft' Marshchall down low and it pretty easy to figure out why we get out-rebounded consistently.
And I thought Bland was supposed to be a defensive stopper. Gary was lighting it up last night, but Bland played 0 mins as well. Does anyone on this team have a role?
