Really Andrew's article isn't much different then half the people that post here. One day the team is good the next day the sky is coming down.Ryan Autullo wrote:Andrew is my guy, and I want to stick up for him here. He's a very humble, reserved guy --- the last person in the newsroom who would write something negative simply to get a reaction. Let's not try to make his column anything it isn't. It's not going to be the deciding factor whether students decide to attend BG's next home game or not. It's just one man's opinion, nothing more.
If you're arguing that Andrew is an idiot for making a bold statement based on the result of one game then you're being hypocrtical as it seems you're judging him off of one column. He's done a lot of great things for the BG News, especially with his blog. So take a deep breath and relax.
Anyway, last night's win was a monster. This team has a lot of heart.
This sums up how most students view the team

Blah blah blah blah. BG News. Student apathy. What the hell ever.Ryan Autullo wrote:Andrew is my guy, and I want to stick up for him here. Ryan, let's talk about something real: Goodsen. How likely are we to sign him in April? Also, what kind of year is he having? Is he a 2 or a 3? Can he shoot?
Don't know about signing him in April. He is having a great year he is averaging 15 and 5. He is a 2 and a 3. He plays at 220, plays above the rim and can rebound and has a respectable jumper. I wouldnt say he is a sharpshooter but keeps defenses honest.BleedOrange wrote:Blah blah blah blah. BG News. Student apathy. I just meant papers in general, not specifically the BG News. Overall, I always thought the BG News was very well done. I rarely missed an issue while I was at BG.Falconfreak90 wrote:When did the BG News start charging for the paper?NY-BG-FAN wrote:Try telling that to a sportswriter. I don't condone a bias in either direction, but being positive usually doesn't sell papers or have people talking about your latest column.tiznow wrote:It also isn't his job to be negative either.
According to ESPN.com, Goodson is still a verbal, but has not signed a letter of intent. He's rated as 40 overall, which is essentially a career depth player. I am far more excited about McElroy, a McDonald's All-American nominee, and Luke Kraus, who is considered a "top-notch sleeper" by Scouts Inc. I'm really liking this recruiting class.Ryan Autullo wrote:I posted a while back that Goodson to BG was not a dead in the water deal. I have since learned it's not going to happen.
Expect BG to sign someone in the spring other than Goodson.

I agree. I was thinking the same thing when they lost. That their wins came against a bunch of awful teams with awful RPIs. There was a thread on here about how good the team was doing, and followed by that was a thread about how bad the MAC West is. Can't have it both ways. Harner is a good writer that stated his opinion. Don't make it out to be more than it is.kdog27 wrote:Really Andrew's article isn't much different then half the people that post here.
