Well at least we didn't get run out of the buidling like at W. Virginia or BYU or Butler. . . .
This Falcon squad showed some grit and determination playing so well and tough in a very difficult arena for road teams to do well. Again those other BG NIT teams were more talented and had better individual talent, but this team pulled together and worked well together. I can only imagine this bodes well for the future of these Louis Orr Falcons.

my thoughts exactly....HoopsFan wrote:73-71 Creighton
Nate had a chance at a lay up and missed it, we had a shot clock violation and missed a long three to end the game. Creighton won, but didn't help their own cause with missed free throws down the stretch.
Dang!!!
Good run Falcons, thanks for a fun season! Thanks for the memories seniors! Underclassmen, the 2009-2010 season starts right now!

+1. BG was undermanned and Creighton has a deep bench. BG was one missed 3 away from winning and this was a hell of an effort.Dayons_Den wrote:Well at least we didn't get run out of the buidling like at W. Virginia or BYU or Butler. . . .

After 2 years of Coach Orr, man, are we on the right track or what??? It should be a fun ride for the future of FALCON HOOPS.
Thanks for a good season, fellas, and good luck to the SR's.

That layup that rimmed out on Nate in the last minute was killer. It was a good look.

Great game guys. You deserved to win the game to be honest. Your team showed lots of heart and hustle.
I thought we were going to get beat pretty good there when we were down by double digits for a good portion of the game. We are notorious for making games like that and then coming back to win them. I have to say though, Nate Miller is one big dude, we had no answer for him. If it wasn't for the play of a couple guys on our team, you'd be going to Rupp Arena.
I think your program has a bright future with a good coach in place. I didn't appreciate my school's (UNO) band tonight though. I was embarrassed to go to UNO when they were activity trying to make our players miss free thows and such. If it was your ACTUAL band I would have no problem with that, but it was UNO's. Anyway, that aside, best of luck to you guys next season. Let the mid-major make some noise in the years to come!

Great effort by our boys. All I have to say is this....I will be picking BG to move on in the field of 64/65 next season. I had them moving on in my NIT bracket, and they came very close.
Coach Orr has set the bar high for next season. Hopefully, we get it done. It was a heck of a ride. Good luck to the seniors (thanks guys!). This season went well above my expectations. I'm raising my glass....here's to a MAC championship (regular season and tourney) and an NCAA bid in 2010! CHEERS!
