NO!! I was at UT from January to June of 1983. Six months of that smell was all I could tolerate....

Ha, You are not hitler, but it would be good to be able to try to see from someone else's lens as well.

But you're projecting emotional weakness onto someone you never met because of how you think a person his age would react. How is that any more valid than what the rest of us are doing?

eh...whatever...

I am not sure it is more valid. I am certainly seeing through my own lens. I am a licensed counselor who works everyday with kids 18-23. I am also not projecting anything, I simply said its something that I would be concerned about because the scenario might be tough for him. And I don't really see it as a "weakness".

I think the point I failed to make was that you are saying its emotional weakness while I am saying that its an absolute common reaction that any human being, especially an 18 year old freshmen in college, who has likely seen a ton of success, would have to a setback.

You seem to be saying no kid should have an issue with this type of scenario while I am saying that I could see any kid having trouble dealing with this scenario. And it does not equate to a "weakness" so to speak.

Regardless, I think it's interesting discussion and as you pointed out we are coming from vastly different perspectives.
