You will notice Christopher distancing himself from Orr if he is thinking of making a change...if he fires him now, he may have to take blame in the hire/contract extension. He won't like to do that. He'll have to find some way to deflect all blame on Orr, i.e. APR issues or just total performance dropoff. I agree it's time for a change, but the change should be at AD...maybe hire someone who comes from a background of successful performance in athletics from an administrative standpoint. Does Kent have an Ass't AD whose been a part of their success throughout all their sports? That is what we need.

Have you sold all of your stocks this week too?

Okay, have to admit, didn't see that one coming, but no I didn't, however, of the few I own, most of my stocks we're tournament quality and a couple into the Final 4 (McDonald's) over the past few years. Can't say the same for our b-ball program.

So is the decision to fire a coach all based on past performance, or is foresight part of it too? Most of us on here probably agree that the last two seasons have been disappointments. There is a difference about the potential for the program moving forward, specifically next season, under L. Orr.

The decision to fire a coach or Athletic Director, imo, should be based on what was, what is and what shall be. Matt Millen was certain the Lions were on the right, path right up until the day they fired him...that day they began their journey on the right path. Isaih Thomas believed the same thing with the Knicks. We can say 'wait 'til next year' all we want, personally, I'm tired of waiting. As a more close to home example. I have faith in Coach Clawson, after a lousy year record-wise, based on it being year two - he's still cleaning house from the previous administration, he has two more years in my book.

And btw, Dakich still got us a stud almost every year (Samarco, Moten, Miller, and Ron Lewis was a stud, although he left) even after WVA, one All-Mac 1st or 2nd Teamer almost every year. Current regime, 1 two time All Mac Honorable Mention (Thomas) - but just wait til next year.
