Matty B, the post last night had nothing to do with losing to Ohio and everything to do with following up Flipper's comment. My point was expectations were higher this season and we are again spinning our wheels. Yes, we had our first winning streak of the season, but keep in mind it also came against teams who are now .500 or with losing records. The fact that Ohio, Akron, Kent State and Buffalo arguable have more talent than is bothers mr because it's not just this year, it's year after year! That is unacceptable and no, I will not sit idle and watch it happen year after year. It's why teams like Ohio, Akron and Kent State have each been to the NCAA Tournament in the last several years and BG hasn't in over 40 years. If someone told me we'd be 13-12 after games at the start of the year, I would be just as disappointed as now. And up next, we play Akron who had beaten us something like 14 out of 15. Again, unacceptable! No MAC team should be doing that to us. None.

Hammb, I agree. We try to feed the post and when we can't, we have very little answers. If we still had a guy like Antonio Daniels or Keith McLeod who could create and make shots, we could live with it. But right now, we don't, which leads to Crawford taking so many contested shots and missing so many jumpers. For years I have never understood why we seem to recruit guards who struggle to score. But let me add, I don't blame Crawford for our offensive struggles. It's on our entire team. We often tend to grind out games, rarely pulling away unless it's against someone very poor. On offense we rarely look fluid. Not just this year, for several years. After what Calhoun did vs Ball State and Toledo, Ohio said no way, they smothered him and made us try to beat them from the perimeter and we just aren't going to outshoot many teams in the MAC from outside.

We beat up on the west...does that make us the cream of the crap?
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

The East went 30-6 against the West. Not one team in the West even has a winning record. Had we gone 6-0, then yes, we'd be the cream of the crap. I wish the MAC would have sent basketball to the West instead of football.
