Well, grey is one of their school colors.

The article has to do with them going to the black helmet, jersey and pants for this week.

Well, black goes nicely with grey or red.

But it clashes badly with brown.

We have a third color that works great with both primary colors. It's the beige in the beak of the falcon logo.

BGSU paid a marketing company good money to come up with that. This would work much better for us than grey. As a road uniform for the baseball team, for example? That beige, or whatever it is, would be a great color.

I'm sorry if I misinterpret here but I must believe you are being sarcastic. We have recruits that look at brown and orange immediately saying no. Now we're going with beige? NO WAY! lmao

Brown and orange are our colors. You don't just stop using them because kids think they're ugly. In 5-10 years, kids will hate whatever new colors we go to. There's something to be said about tradition. I actually agree with the beige suggestion because it goes with our current color scheme.

Beige sounds hideous.

Nobody has once said we should abandon our main colors. But this hatred of the occasional Grey/Orange uni is just mind-boggling.

Personally I think Brown sucks. It looks awful as a primary color. It should be an accent color to white/orange uniforms. And it does clash badly with black/grey, so it has no place on the occasional alternate uniform if you're going to go with the popular colors of the day (which is the point of the occasional alternate uniform). But even though I'm not a fan of the color, I don't want to see it gone. I don't have a problem with it being on the backburner though, as it should be.

What I find hilarious is all these people cry when Brown isn't on a uni, but they seem to have no problem when we've worn brown jerseys with no orange on them.

Nobody would supply beige, just like very few supply brown for a reason. They are not popular colors with young people.

I actually don't much care if BGSU ever fields a team in light brown. But the color would make much more sense for BGSU as a third color than does grey.

I like what Eastern Michigan is doing with grey. It's a very good color for them. But not for us, It doesn't go with brown. As hammb has acknowledged, wearing grey means the brown doesn't work.

Brown is the most distinctive part of our scheme. We should embrace that, not run away from it or put it "on the backburner,"

I challenge you to find an occasion where the football team ever played a game without at least some orange in the uniform. To my knowledge, this has never happened. Tomorrow's game might be the least orange uniform in the history of the program, but there is still some orange trim in there.

On the other hand, hammb, in your last post, you openly advocated taking the field sometimes without any brown at all. I have never advocated all brown, with no orange.

I I like both of our primary colors. This weekend's unis, in my mind, could use more orange. Personally, I'd prefer orange/brown/orange or white/brown/orange. Our colors, together, look great.

But orange alone? It could be Syracuse, it could be Clemson, it could be Illinois. Not much special about that.

Good examples. An MLB team, Notre Dame, and multiple ACC schools. Believe it or not, BG isn't any of those. Thus, why Adidas basically used no brown.

I didn't agree with beige until those pictures were up, although I don't see that going with brown or orange. I think a brown pant with orange jersey would look awesome, especially against TSUN. Go falcons!
