Or in this case - to break the streak don't speak of the streak.Roll Along! wrote:It's like a no-hitter. He had no idea it had reach 17 games and was simply baffled after being told so. At first I thought he was serving up a little coach speak, but he repeatedly went back to length of the losing streak and you could tell it was 100% honest. Yeah coach, it was really THAT long! Just watch the first two minutes of it. But it also makes me wonder, how in the world was he unaware of this? He states in his presser that he doesn't read into this sort of stuff, but how has not one person (reporter, SID, assistant coach, AD, donor, alum) in his tenure here ever made him aware how long it had been? That's baffling to me. He's actually coached against Akron several times as well before tonight and it's unreal to me that this was news to him.

If I were a HC I wouldn't care about almost anything that happened prior to my arrival...the exception being things like criminal convictions or plane crashes or some other large scale misfortune.
You say Louis Orr could'nt beat Akron? Who's Louis Orr?

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
