This coach is just so mediocre. We have these stretches every year. He's done a nice job accumulating talent over the years but he doesn't coach worth a damn

He brings zero energy and effort then always wonders why his team does the same. Hmmm

Are we allowed to criticize the coaching staff yet? Maybe not seeing the finish of last seasons tailspin created a belief that things were better than the are? Maybe adding a center would have been more urgent issue if someone was willing to question and criticize last seasons underachievement.

I heard on the radio that Washington didn't even make the trip. He was ill.

What a sad stretch! Man. Meanwhile, Akron is winning by 10 over CMU at home. Buffalo beat Eastern.

We we never going to add a center because Huger is in love with Swingle. It much be why he’s seated by him on the sidelines so much anymore. That, or his knack for getting blow by, out-jumped, or picking up fouls because he’s overmatched by his opponent.

We've seen this movie before.

I didn't like it then -- and don't like it now.

Our three freshman are going to be good but why did we not go find two great transfers at power forward and center? Did we try? Is this coach just unable to land those guys? He’s pulled in some great recruits so it seems like he could get them but maybe not?

My biggest concern with him is he’s blinded by his defensive philosophy, nearly everything and everything in his eyes is about defense. When we have poor or ineffective offense, it just doesn’t resonate with him. Sure we need to be better on defense, but it’s always a defensive issue with him when we get beat, even in games where we defend decently but are dreadful offensively.

It’s time for him to fall on the sword in those interviews. Your team is a reflection of you. Are they the leader or are you the leader?

Huger opening with something about defense is like when Louis Orr would open with “to God be the Glory.” You know it’s coming, it’s only a matter of time. I will agree with Huger tonight, the defense was bad. But what was equally bad - or worse - was our start to this game offensively, and how we were offensively for the game vs Akron.

I think I'm out. I'll still watch, but this team has to earn my true interest back. I'd love to watch a full game - so let's maybe not get blown out next time we step onto the floor?
I stopped watching to go in the other room for something. I completely forgot I was watching. And the game was over. It’s so uninteresting.

This is the most talented boring team I’ve ever seen. If threes go in we win. If threes are off we lose. That’s completely unwatchable basketball. Our offense doesn’t manufacture points. We play terrible defense. We don’t have the size to rebound at all.

1-3 in the last four games. And maybe one of those teams was more talented then us. We recruited 5 big man in the last five years and none of them can play or they left the team.

I think I’ll follow the box scores.

Guys - this one realy was defense.

At least according to the stat sheet.

They shot 59% from the floor. 48% from 3. 20 assists to our 9. They only had 9 turnovers.

We gave them a better than 2 : assist to TO ratio, let them shoot damn near 60% from the floor.

We took 29 FT to their 14 and still got our asses kicked because we let them do anything they wanted on offense all game long.

This is STILL on the coaching staff. Why have we been flat as hell 3 of th elast 4 games? Why has our offense been off even longer than that? Why do we not know how to pass out of a double team when the hedge teh screen super high like EVERY SINGLE TEAM does to us?

I noticed CTurner had significant minutes. Is that because he is an asset on zone defence which we used a lot in the 1st half.

I also think we are sorely missing Mattos and Mattis. Too bad Zieglar gave up on us too. I think he would have been an asset as a slasher to the bucket and defender but not as a point guard.
