Or maybe we could move the student section? With our pathetic crowds, it would be nice to make a rule. You can fill in the courtside seats if the ticket holders don't show after, say the first quarter or 10 minutes of a game. Yeah, reserve the first 5 or 6 rows for fill-in seating. Now that would be interesting.

I know this might spiral the conversation away from Ball State, but I’m genuinely curious because I’m not quite old enough to remember:HoopsFan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 2:54 pm Or maybe we could move the student section? Where was the student section inside Anderson Arena? It feels like putting students behind the opposing bench (where they would be more visible on TV, too) would be kinda fun and accomplish the goal of making it tougher to play here.

The student section at Anderson was the entire length of the court bleachers (floor seating) opposite the team benches. Behind the benches was reserved seating as were all of the upper levels.mbenecke wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 3:27 pmI know this might spiral the conversation away from Ball State, but I’m genuinely curious because I’m not quite old enough to remember:HoopsFan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 2:54 pm Or maybe we could move the student section? In short, the Anderson student section were the best seats in the house. I watched pretty much every game for 4 years standing on the floor close enough to grab players during in bounds plays. After I graduated I stopped getting there early enough to stand right on the sidelines instead sitting a few rows up in the bleachers.
These seats don't even exist because we gave the press (ha!) The best seats in the house.
