Blake Barkley chose NW after his recent visit. Had visited Akron previously. At this point Verbal Commits has BG with 3 open offers. I would not be surprised if none of these 3 signs with BG. The most likely is the PG Meyer since our Head Coach loves signing PGs also Meyer has transferred back to Covington Catholic after toying with a basketball factory. Most likely will be JUCO or transfers filling what looks like 2 openings if no other players transfer, get kicked off the team, or just decide basketball is not worth it anymore, all of which has happened in the most recent past.

Jaylen Carey signed with James Madison. That leaves just 2 offers left on Verbal Commits. Seems more and more likely that neither will sign with BG and we will again go the transfer/JUCO route or some out of the blue HS kid that has a good year.

Wouldn't go strictly by VC these days. They are not as on top of things as they used to be. Constantly missing offers/commitments from the smaller schools now.

It's fan driven a bit. I know in the past I have helped them and been the one to notify them about BG offers etc. I would follow the coaches on twitter and see who they followed and then follow that athlete and then when they signed notify verbal commits. I gave that up when I became sad about the team.

I wonder if the program's quick fall since covid is impacting our ability to recruit. There's no way we're only counting on transfers since we historically get a couple freshman each year

5 players from the panhandle conference I love it! Diggs came from nw Florida state. I use to know one of the assistants at pensacola state through the covid season
