I mean no one should have to wait 5 mins in traffic to watch this s**t program. Figure it out.
It's even more absurd when you compare it to Toledo. Their arena is inside their campus and has every reason to be a convoluted mess given they have 5000+ at the games. Instead it was easy in, easy out, relatively close parking with no hassle.

Meanwhile BGs arena is immediately off a major thoroughfare and right off the hiway. Conveniently has another 4 lane street right there with several entrances into ample parking. They take this perfect logistical setup and funnel all traffic into one lane in a half-assed effort to make a couple bucks.

I still go around behind the ice arena and haven't paid to park once in the far lot. I refuse to pay them to park in the far lots while they have hundreds of empty spots saved for the falcon club members that don't exist

They overbuilt the Stroh, about 3,000 seats they could handle and it would sell out a couple times a year. Not enough gate workers, ushers or parking attendants to get the job done. New AD gets 1 year to get a handle on it or maybe I’ll switch to road games.
I don't think it's fair to blame the arena. It's the stupid ass way they've turned an easily accessible large parking area into a convoluted 6 tiered parking layout, blocking off most fof the entrances to funnel people into all those different groups to create some false sense of supply and demand.

It's really not difficult. Charge $5 to get into the stroh lot, across alumni is free. Let people into all entrances to all lots.

They create these issues on their own on a futile attempt to create revenue. Yet still cannot find the give a s**t level to run a 50/50

I didn't even realize there isn't a 50/50 anymore. That's easy cash, but the pot would on be $35 with the crowds that have been showing up.

How long did Ayers sit on the bench to end the game? 23 minutes is way too low for him

It's Huger's folly. That weird lineup with mills, Curtis, Matheny, O'Neal, and I think towns? They were able to get some stops and played pretty well. But good coaches know how to throw together stuff like that to get it working but when to go back to your bread and butter. It DID work but he rode it too long.

Huger said post game that the group was getting stops and we all know Ayers isn't conducive to getting stops. Still I'd probably play my leading scorer at some point in the final 8mins of a tight game.

Not blaming the arena just suggesting they can’t handle 4,000 or more people attending.

This parking BS happened in football season....we ALWAYS tailgate in lot 13 and this past year, it was only for FC members. I guess having season football tickets since 1996 didn't mean sheet cuz they wouldn't let me it to park next to Rick and Mitch...where we've been for 15 freakin years. The "FC" lot was half empty by kickoff and I got to drag a grill and cooler 3 lots over due to this.

I REALLY hope the new AD reads this board as I am so tired of BG being bush league in so many ways. it is embarrassing.

I noticed that after passing several huge open lots to park farther away after waiting 20 min with only 7-8 cars in front of me. Sure, being a Rockets fan meant the jokes came easy but the parking situation there is something they have to fix soon

A 50/50 drawing is..technically...a lottery in that it involves chance (a drawing), consideration (you have to buy a ticket) and a prize (in this case money). The IRS will allow a 501c charitable organization to run one...like the Falcon Club is...I assume. So there might be an issue at BGSU with letting the Falcon Club fundraise or there's some other issue re it being gambling at a college game or some other issue

I'm assuming the University didn't want the Falcon Club fundraising on their turf. I assume that because in my limited experience, the people in charge are dicks

They probably don't want to fill out the paperwork for a license.

I don’t know their reasoning but at the high school level the non-profit 501 (3) (c) booster organizations MUST run all 50/50 due to a difficult to interpret state of Ohio info that states a school cannot deposit money from such activities. Usual politician’s unintended consequences IMO. The Falcon Club is run by university employees, does this cause the problem?

No license needed that I’m aware of.

Today I attended the President’s Day open house. A little over 4,000 expected to attend. They forced entry at Ridge (baseball field) and wrapped around football stadium. Worked well although no charge for parking. I’ve thought this would give space to get most of the back up off the streets and it nearly worked with a single line. Double the line after the Sebo parking lot and have enough 2-4 collecting money near track depending expected crowd and 3 to push to proper lot based on pass. Situation vastly improved.

And by the way unlike the similar on Saturday nobody parked across the street and nobody walked from the dorms so I suspect there were more cars.
