This asinine way of calling the game destroys the flow and the entire way a game should go. It's exactly what the NBA does all the time in the playoffs, just let teams maul one another until somebody starts making some shots. All in the name of "making them earn it" or some horseshit. Yeah, nobody wants to watch a FT shooting contest, but when the fouls are being committed you have to call them so we can actually watch basketball.

I'll take a FT shooting contest over watching people get grabbed and smacked in the arm every time they're within 5' of the rim anyday.

This is why the Big Ten does so poorly in the NCAA tournament every year. It’s hack city all season long, and then they can’t play that way in the postseason and it throws their entire identity off.

I noticed it in the Kent-UT game earlier, but this random baseline corner camera they keep cutting to is an awful angle for TV. Production truck needs to get rid of it.

I mean, they're calling it both sides, Agee just mugged a guy and got away with it. It's been this way the entire 2nd half of conference season. The officials haven't called fouls in our games, PERIOD. That has worked in Agee's favor, he can play this style. The rest of our team is not built for a rugby match.

As Hill just got fouled 4x on 2 FG attempts and gets no calls. f**k this is not basketball.

Simon may quit and go elsewhere just because he doesn't want to deal with this type of officiating.

In all seriousness, if they're going to call our games this way we need shooting out the ass next year, because Hill is getting his looks inside and getting hammered every time. Cannot count on building an offense around 2man game penetration/post looks if the officials will let defenders play this way. WIll be interesting to see if/how we pivot our roster/game construction next year. This team simply doesn't have the shooting to rely on firing up 30 shots at the arc.
