HOOTIE AND THE BURGER KING

Yes, that was indeed Darius Rucker, of Hootie & The Blowfish fame, donned in a rhinestone cowboy suit for a surreal Burger King Tendercrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch commercial.

The commercial's odd, that's for sure. I find myself strangely aroused to go buy a bacon chedder cheeseburger. This BK commercial is the fruition of George's mixing of the pleasures when he had his pastrami on rye while wathcing TV and making love. BK better be careful, otherwise we to could be suffering the same fate as Geoge. Where we may "fly too close to the sun on wings of pastrami," in this case wings of bacon chedder cheesburger and get burned.

THE TENDER CRISP BACON CHEDDAR RANCH IS A CHICKEN SANDWICH. Maybe that commercial isn't so good after all.

Obviously! I must not be paying attention to Mr. Rucker or the sandwich itself. Wonder what I must be paying attention to.......hmmm.

I can't get that Tendercrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch song out of my head! I am actually the opposite of PGY and I tried to send my pregnant wife out to get me Burger King, while I stayed home and watched the tournament. Of course she didn't go for it, but it was worth a shot! :P

Yeah, my wife is much more into the games than I am at times. She stayed up to watch both OTs of WV/Wake, while I fell asleep on the couch. Of course she has no loyalty to BG anymore, she kept yelling at me for flipping back the women's game saturday night during the UK game.

Yeah the past few seasons I have been extra annoyed by the commercials. With it all being on one network and having the same sponsors, they show the same commercials over and over. I am so sick ok chevy, coach K, BK, Geico, the "no" commercials. I remember feeling the same way last year. Or maybe I watch too much bastketball. Yeah I do, but they could at least change their commercials for this week. They won't.

Hootie is still awesome. Even if that commercial seems like a weird dream.

KDog, I took Thursday & Friday off work. I watched every game both days. Saturday night I had some friends come over so I didn't watch those games as closely, but they were on. Sunday I watched all the games.

For whatever reason I really like the BK commercial...the other ones I'm with you on. I told my roommate that I could probably write up the program lineup & what's happening this week for all of CBS' shows.

Sounds like I'm the only one who took in the shark attack movie...it was sweet.

You just liked looking at all of the girls in their thongs.

That was the original appeal, yes.

Then it got better. It had some of the worst special effects I've seen in a movie in a long time. I've always been a sucker for B Rated flicks, and a made for TV shark attack movie definitely fits the bill. I think they might've actually bought the shark from Jaws to make this movie. The first shark attack was one of the lamest things I've ever seen...so cool!

On top of that the one guy in the movie was a total a$$ and it was great that he got eaten at the end!

So there were boobies, corny special effects, and a happy ending. What more can anyone want? Heck, after seeing this movie (the star was from the OC), I'm thinking of watching the OC now! LOL
