6’9 forward, from Columbus, OH. Seems to have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

The numbers don’t jump off the page, but his size is needed. And at minimum, he comes from a well-coached program, so his fundamentals should be solid.

Towns, Felt, Etim all look like pretty similar players. Tall, skinny, can dunk and block shots, Felt looks to be the most athletic of the bunch. The post situation will be interesting, O’Neal looked like a somehow worse version of Swingle last year. Agee’s tape looks like he’s the best of the bunch but I would assume he’ll be more of a 4 with his height and shot.

Hmmm. We have Ayers and Lightfoot coming in at guard. We're still thin there.

Sam Towns is very likely a brother or cousin to Seth Towns that played at Harvard and then transferred for a couple of unspectacular seasons at OSU. Granted he was hampered by injuries during most of his time at Harvard, but he was expected to contribute more when the transfer first happened.

I assumed so to but it's weirder.....Towns is the younger brother of Leon Rodgers who played for Northern Illinois from 1998-02 and has played professionally for 18 years.

Latest recruit is 6"3" G Anthony McComb III out of Dayton, Ohio. Saw it on the OrangeandBrown Blog (website link below). Apparently got lost in his senior COVID year in recruiting and went to a nearby Prep School. Scorer but had very limited offers and maybe BG was the only D1. Odd thing is that of the last three recruits - two are III's (McComb and Leon Ayers). Probably bodes well for LeBron James III down the line.

I don't think that kids who average 24 pts a game in Dayton are hiding from anyone. Video to me shows a smart basketball player with below average athleticism. Looks like a walk on. But if he can become a more explosive athlete that smart basketball could translate well.

As a former certified personal trainer and avowed gym rate...it is extremely difficult to make someone more explosive athletically. You can make small, incremental improvements but for the most part...you are what you is

They got a new guy. Looks like he was at St. Louis, then Eastern Illinois, then spent last season at Indian Hills CC. The guy is huge (6'11" 240), from Mali originally, and seems to be a project when you look at his numbers. Hasn't played much over the last 3 years but doesn't score, seemed to rebound well last year. Gives them another post body with I would assume 2-3 years of eligibility left.

So, Swingle without the soft touch. How lovely.
