Strack just tweeted the video and an email from a concerned parent I believe.

I mean what the hell was Jans thinking? I drink plenty but never, ever act like that, I just don't. He seems to be acting like he's above the law.

What a waste, damn it.

I hope his career isn't over...reprehensible behavior and it certainly disqualifies him from employment here and now. but...given the proper treatment program and some time as an assistant, I would hope he gets anther chance somewhere

Like I said before we want to do things the right way and this is not the right way. Bye-bye. Further discussion not needed.

I must say that I was very impressed with the 5 pages of contact Mr. Kingston had with the person whom brought up this issue as well as the lengthy letter written terminating Jans. Very detailed.

I am proud to be a BG alum right now. It appears Kingston handled this tough, tough situation like a PRO.

I hope to GOD Chris Jans makes it right somehow with himself, his family, and his friends, and finds a way to move forward stronger than before.

Over on the Wichita board, there was one comment from one poster that said "BG over-reacted" by firing Jans??! Blew my mind. To be fair, the vast majority of their posters came down on Jans pretty hard for his actions - to be expected.

Another poster mentioned he had heard stories of Jans "antics at Wichita bars" while there.

BG certainly made the right call firing him.

However, hopefully this doesn't define him for the rest of his coaching career.

I think it's safe to say it the next coach will not be coming from the current staff.

I don't feel bad for him one bit he did it to himself, we are better off without him. As a parent of two daughters, I actually feel bad for his wife and children he has more then a coaching career to explain when he walks through that front door in Kansas. May have just ruined a family.

I just read the letter, response and saw the 7 second video, and I just want to say I'm very proud of our University and particularly Chris Kingston. There are a lot of places that even if that video and story got it, would try and let it play out and hope it passes away for a Coach who has such promise as Jans. We are desperate for a winning basketball program, but we will not tolerate boorish behavior that reflects poorly on our school, to that I say Bravo Chris Kingston, Bravo BGSU!
