If your going to complain about Crawford you could at least give him props for when he has kept us in 3 games where we easily could have lost. Yes his size is a factor many times but I have no problem with his overall play.
Being at the game I would like to clarify the last 15 seconds. Crawford WAS NOT the first option and you could tell that by watching. Twice Crawford looked at Thomas but he was doubled. He then looked at Calhoun but he has guarded tightly and oversized. And well McElroy was simply out of place. I guess Crawford could have tried to force the ball to Thomas or Calhoun but then your risking a turnover and giving the ball back to NIU.
The only problem I had with the play is that BG took way too long to get the ball over half court. I don't even fault Orr for not calling a timeout. Calling a TO would allow Northern to set up its defense. Regardless we got the W. That is all that matters at this point. It doesn't have to be pretty all the time. Keep rolling Saturday!
