I don't watch any college basketball outside of BG. IS this maybe just how things are now? People don't run offenses?
Absolutely not because I see teams that we play run offenses against us every game.
It's why we continually give up points to teams that seem inferior talent wise.
I wouldn't say Miami did anything special but they didn't hoist a dozen bad contested 3s either.

I have no idea how Owens talked his way out of that basket counting at the end of regulation. I agree Huger did not step up in that situation and argue for our team. I think Fields still would have got the ball off even without the slight hiccup of the clock. Probably with 0.1 or 0.2. What garbage. This was a typical Miami win.
Been saying this for years, we have the worst clock/scoreboard operators in the NCAA. They cost us a win tonight. I too believe fields got that off in time. They almost cost us the home game vs Toledo last year as well. Always an issue every game. Can't keep the players stats scoreboard updated ever. The worst.
So when did you talk to the officials to get their opinion? Do you have any idea how well respected that group is in the circle of officials? Until you know that, or work that table, I would respectfully tell you to shut up. Do you know how many times those issues are the table covering the officials backsides? Or just the officials screwing up? There is a lot going on there, and I believe you are completely wrong. Mr. Wymer is local, why don't you ask him?

Anybody heard anything on the Turner injury? I've heard nothing good.
Heard nothing, but it looked like it could be the type of ankle that takes him out for weeks.
God don't let that be the case. Right before the MAC Tournament, that would be just like a BG basketball thing to happen too.
I hope not too. Just didn't look pretty with him going down in his own then he was clearly hiring when he hobbled off.
He wasn't even with the team, he was in the locker room, while the officials debated that final regulation play. I do think he came back out to the bench to watch must of ot.
Hoping for the best. I wouldn't even consider playing him until Cleveland at this point

I agree - but I think there's a good chance we might be done until Cleveland anyway. With Ohio having COVID issues cancel their game on Tuesday, I find it hard to believe that we'd be able to play them tomorrow night, but I guess we'll see.

Who cares if Mr. Wymer is local? He was totally lost during the 15 minute delay. The first 10 minutes he was focused on the amount of time to put back on the clock. He clearly didn't even see the clock had stopped. Whoever was running the clock screwed up too. It's ok we expect that stuff at BGSU. 20 years later they still can't get the referee microphone to work at the Doyt. The final 5 minutes he changed the call based on one coach arguing and the other not arguing. Huger's reaction of "it is what it is" is the most ridiculous part. Mr. Wymer wouldn't have changed the call in a full arena. He might be local, he might be respected, he led a clown show at the end of that game on Tuesday.
Very interesting - I'd rather have it canceled so we aren't potentially exposed to COVID before the tournament, but we've been "exposed" enough already this season. *drum set*
Maybe it is just coincidence, but Ohio has played many more homes games in conference than road games. To the extreme of less than 5 conference road games.
Just to update on this, the MAC just announced that Friday’s game is canceled, along with Miami’s game against Akron. So I think barring opt outs, we’re going to finish 6th in the MAC and open with Buffalo, Akron, or Kent in Cleveland, depending on the Buffalo/Kent winner tomorrow night.

The silver lining on Tuesdays loss is that it didn't matter. We were going to be the 6 seed either way. Also regardless of The UB/KSU result it looks like we play Akron in the late game Thursday unless OU (or Akron?) can't pass the protocols in time to get to Cleveland.
