Good to see so many players willing to come back. I don't think i want to see any of those players starting next season but Leach and Goins/Karel should be contributing off the bench with Torbert.

My wish list at this point is starting center and power forward then we need a backup power forward and guard. Based on the past I could see us getting a p4 transfer for the other guard

Adem is in the portal. Not a surprise and was likely not a contributor here. Kid went through a lot in his personal life here, so I hope he finds a spot to get a fresh start. Could see him going JUCO or D2 and lighting it up.

By my count there are eight confirmed on the roster:

Confirmed: Simmons, Torbert, Howell, Shackleford, Goins, Squire, Karel and Leach
TBD: Spurgin, Dedivanaj (so basically no minutes)
Portal: Campbell, Kimbrough, Wol, Pardon, Adem

Kimbrough's statement said that he was open to returning to BG, but entered the portal just to see what options are out there. Can't blame anyone for doing that these days.

Thanks, I would be surprised if any in the portal were to return and Spurgin will graduate if I'm not mistaken. The other guy is a walk on. They are after size and athleticism around the rim and on the wing. Might even be looking within the MAC at a big.

Javontae Campbell accepted an invite to the Portsmouth Invitational, which I assume means he is officially out of eligibility and will be turning pro.

He'll be joining Rashaun Agee there, as well as Johnson and Lyles from Akron.

Big time honor for Javontae. Not many mid-major players on the participant list.

Seeing reports that BG landed another shooter - 6'4" Juan Cranford Jr from Eastern Kentucky, after playing at St Francis (PA) the year before. Averaged double digits at both stops, shooting 37.6% from 3. He made 81 threes last year in 32 games, shooting more than twice as many 3s as 2s.

Can never have too many shooters, happy to land another. Now we need to find some bigs!

NEC Freshman of the Year when he was at St Francis. Seems like a strong pickup.

Verbal Commits is reporting Tristan Beckford has committed to BG from South Florida. Averaged 2.6ppg as a freshman with pretty limited minutes but put up good numbers in the few games he got some run. 6’5” 180lbs small forward. Seems to have some handles but not a great shooter. Out of Ontario, Canada.

We landed Cranford over some very solid programs. Awesome shooter with athleticism.

Beckford seems to have a high upside. He was recruited by several majors coming out of high school.

BG picks up a commitment from 7'0 center from South Carolina, Christ Essandoko. He has also played at Saint Joseph's and Providence in his career.
