Not true. I talked to him. He applied but won't hear back until after this season is over. I talked to him on Saturday 3/4.and that was his answer.
If anyone has heard anything since then, I don't know. He wants to come back.

He was talking about what he wanted to do post graduation and said he would try to play in Europe. If he does come back it will be fun to track him as he moves up some of the statistical rankings. I hope he is back. When he and Fry are both hot this team is very good.

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned on here yet, but Wagner tweeted out this article last night.

http://www.bcsn.tv/news_article/show/76 ... _id=878183" target="_blank

It confirms the defections of Malike & Worrell, but also mentions that one of those schollies is already spoken for with a verbal commitment from Matiss Kulackovskis. Don't follow recruiting at all, so have no idea who he is or if he can play. Apparently 6'7 kid from Philly...

Just surprised that it hasn't been posted on here yet.

So if Fox is getting another scholarship next year are we full already? I hope we still have a spot for adding a Grad Transfer, we are going to be crazy young/inexperienced.

Go one page up and you can see all the info on Mattis. With Mattis it's still confusing. If Denny comes back and Fox gets a Scholarship for Sr year we are full. If Denny is denied there is 1 available and Gmartin raised that a Big from Michigan is looking to grad transfer. He went to school with Fox.

If rumors are true 0-2 openings?

2017-2018
1 Caldwell, So-Cummings, Fr
2 Frye, So,-Turner, Fr(R)-Plowden, Fr
3 Lillard, Jr-Fox, Sr-Kulackovskis Fr
4 Koch, Fr-Uju, Jr(R)
5 Wiggins, Jr-Gadson, Fr

Per Wagner on twitter...Denny RS "not going to happen"
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Haha my bad on Mattis. I didn't even look at the names... Wagner said this kid was from Philly so I thought it was a different player from the European kid.

Still curious where we're at on scholarships, if fox will still have one, and if we can pursue that UM kid (or some other grad transfer)

Thanks for info. Someone had indicated that they spoke with him less than 2 weeks ago and it was still up in the air.

Was at the Pickerington North v Upper Arlington playoff game tonight and Stacey was in attendance. Was evident why he is a great assistant coach. Everyone who seemed to be a player in high school hoops stopped at his seat and shook his hand. I don't think there is a candidate for our team on either roster (Mostly juniors and the 2 biggest ones are likely headed to OSU or maybe Michigan) but it was great to see him there and what he means to HS sports in Ohio.

Want to revisit this guy as George Mason just offered. If we don't get Donnal from Michigan then I hope we go another 1 year guy or a Juco. Averaged 22 and poitns and more than 10 per game on boards.

SINCLAIR
1. Akiean Frederick 6-9

Anyone know anything about Brett Lauf from Napoleon? Jordan Lauf's little brother and we went after Jordan prior to Huger. He hasn't been highly recruited but he seems pretty good.

His uncle is a doctor that I work with. He's astonished that Brett hasn't been recruited...his only offers are D2. Kid can shoot it, and from some of the clips he showed me he's surprisingly athletic.

He thinks he's being under recruited because A) he's the only decent player on that Napoleon team, and B) thinks he may be undervalued because Jordan had a "meh" college career.

Obviously that's family talking, but that's the insight I have. If you wanna know any more about him I'm sure I could find out. But we were just chatting about him a week or two ago when they got ousted from the tournament, and at that time he had no D1 offers.

BG needs an undersized guard like it needed a 5th, 6th, or 7th year, to understand Orr was a disaster.

We have an influx of height next year. Adding guys who are 6-11, 6-9, 6-7, 6-7, 6-5 and 6-4 for next year. What we don't have a ton of is depth at point guard.

Can any of those guys handle the ball? Because Buffalo has 3, that size, who can. Ohio has several that size who can handle, and shoot, and Miami just got rid of its' Louis Orr. I didn't mention Akron had 6 guards who would start on any MAC team and Kent just won the tournament. Until BG has as good, or better guards than these teams, the result is likely the same. I think Frye and Caldwell have real talent, but they are undersized especially when on the court together.
