BG has lost five MAC games by a combined 13 points!

We have lost five MAC games by a combined 13 points. Unbelievable. We lost to Northern Illinois by 1, Ball State by 1, Buffalo by 3, Ohio by 3 in double overtime and to Akron by 5 in overtime. As we sit here today at 4-7, it pains me to know we could be 9-2 or somewhere in between if we could have won any of these heartbreakers. Man.....

We win our close games in the MAC and you guys lose your close game in the MAC. And that’s the difference between being a good team and a bad team, and it’s reflected in the standings. We know how to win in the clutch, you guys find ways to lose in the clutch. And it’s not like we’re some veteran team either, we a young team too. But we know and understand how to get it done down the stretch and you guys know how to blow it time and time again.

The fact is we still have lost 7 games and no the friggen referees are not responsible for any single one of them. Poor perimeter defense, inability to recognize offensive options and inability to stay out of foul trouble are the three reasons that come to mind most readily.
