Don't say I didn't tell yOU so!

I’ve been saying it for weeks that we were gonna win this game, and we did. We won, head-to-head, on your own court. Not that that’s saying much with the way just about every team comes in there and wins nowadays. But that’s probably a good thing for you guys because the way you choke at the end of games, playing on the road for the first round of the MAC Tournament is right up your alley. You guys put up a good fight, I’ll give you that. But your team is so one-dimensional and you have no inside threat. Your guards bailed you out in what should have been an easy OU win. But today was like so many other games you let get away, you can’t close out a game and get a win. I will say I was pretty impressed with Samarco and Wright, they are solid players and can ball. And if Robinson could have made a layup or a free throw today, he shanked them all, or if you could have grabbed a rebound, you could have won. But you didn't.

That was the worst atmosphere I have ever seen in all my trips to Anderson Arena. Where was everybody? Where in the hell are all your students? BG has like 18,000 students and the place was half empty, and the student section had what looked like 50 students in it. No kidding, about 50. We counted them and with the exception of the front row, the rest looked like locals and whatnot. What a joke. Your team deserves better than that. And what surprises me is, you’d think that people would at least come and watch them play now before they all transfer at the end of the season. You know it’s gonna happen.

Well, we’ll crush you down in the Convo in a month, no way will you hang with us in Athens and we won’t let up down the stretch like we did today. I admit, it got a little too close for comfort, but like we said to each other even when the game went into OT, it’s BG, they’ll find some what to lose this game. And you did. Congratulations on that.

Today was just another day for OU basketball. We’re very young and return just about everyone next year too. You are seeing the wave of MAC basketball right in front of your eyes. We bring in players, we keep players, and we win close games. You should use us a blueprint of how to win in the MAC, that is, if you could keep some players around up there.

You may have won this close game but what about the 3 blowout losses of 15 or more points? There was a reason vegas only had you a 1 1/2 point favorite against us....you're not that good. We played both overtimes with 1 player over 6'4" No wonder you got so many rebounds. You're underachieving but hey..we are worried about our team that will return everyone but Mawel Soler next year. By the way, Floyd was so slow and outclassed that he rung you up for 22 today. Embarrassing for all of your athletes to let him do that against you, heh?

I won't comment on the rest of your post, but I will on the above. I agree that it was a pretty lousy atmosphere for 37 minutes. Now, the last 3 minutes and overtimes were rocking. Even you have to admit, the place got pretty loud (even given the low attendance) when Green was bricking the FTs at the end of OT.

The team does deserve better student support. Perhaps a more spirited student turnout would have turned a couple of these losses into win. Who knows.

Congrats to OU on winning a game they should have won. They have a better team and probably the most talented team in the MAC. Chapman was outstanding today and Green and Troutman were good as well. The "stars" (Williams and Fears) better step up their games big time or they're not going dancing in March, though.

You're underachieving but hey..we are worried about our team that will return everyone but Mawel Soler next year. - What?! You guys will lose more than just Soler after this year, at least one or two more guys will leave this year. You could be a decent team next year, but you're going to lose more than just Soler.

I will take issue with the statements that OU is underacheivng and one of the most talented teams in the MAC. I think they are achieving about as well as they can. They lose big to the really good teams and eke out wins over the lower end of the field. They'll finish about in the middle of the MAC pack and given their talent that's about where they belong, I think. If they finish strong, maybe an NIT bid.

Sounds like the Falcons played an awfully good game and had several opportunities to win. Samarco must have really jacked you all up-WSPD kept talking about his 14 points in 90 seconds at the end of reg. Wow! Hope for a good one next Saturday-see you all there.

Yeah, the place was sort of loud for how small of a crowd it was. But why sit on your hands for 37 minutes? Why not be loud from start to finish? As for Williams and Fears, it speaks volumes for you to even say they better pick it up when you see how much or bench is producing. Hell, we didn't even play with a starter today, Halbert sat out.

Hey genius, I'm stating you will lose more than Soler because others will transfer like they do every year at BG. I bet you Sullivan won't ever play at BG either.

If we can return everyone (with the exception of Soler) and Sullivan plays for us next season, plus add our recruits for next year, we could be a very solid team and should have much more success next season. But like our "friend" has pointed out, I do agree, until we reload instead of rebuild every year, we won't make a run. We cannot have any more transfers. None.

This kid is a slow learner....we've known since October that our team was going to struggle this year. We're into February and he still thinks the Boozecats are going to win this conference. Maybe it will finallky sink in when he watches Kent or Akron celebrating at the Gund...

It's funny how some young Ohio fan shows up to talk crap against a team that was suppose to finish at the bottom of the standings.

Again, why is he even still here? He adds nothing to this board.

Sorry fellas, bobcat forgot to take his prozak and his head. Here's a choker chain, make good use of it.

Bobcat - you're bugging them about losing by double digits? Look what happened to us!! How can you be concerned about another teams losses and goings on when we have problems of our own??

Our team has no chemistry - the inside word is that they fight with each other in locker rooms over stupid stuff, pissed at each other because of PT they don't get. And you're worried about BG, whom we barely beat in double OT let alone REGULATION? We blew a 10 point lead with a couple minuites to go. That's not a good basketball team. BG was the better team that night for not giving up, DESPITE the lack of fan support you keep speaking of. Hell, we were down against Fiami and Kent and we had a HUGE fan turnout.. Did we get a comeback? No.

Worry about your team first. All other concerns come way down the road.

Kitty- How can you say our team doesn't know how to close out a game? You were up by ten at the end of the game and almost lost. We had four or five (I don't remember how many) players foul out of the game and you still couldn't finish us off. You hardly beat us, you eeked out a win against a poor team. You have some crazy audacity to come here and talk s**t about our team when you've been losing your games by 15 points lately, to a team that we beat nonetheless.

Macattackcat, i would just like to thank you for being un-biass on "our" forum. unlike your fellow bobcat, you actually make sense and are a good person to ralk about with these issues. i senicerely hope that not all of your students are like him. i hope more are like you. you are always welcome on AZZ and please straighten out your bobcat buddy whenver hes out of line.

I do have a question for you, since you seem very well educated on MAC basketball. IF we keep all of our players, do you agree that we can be a force in the MAC next season? thanks MAC attack and have a great day.
