Okay, I'm not sure that this had any bearing on the game or not, but it is conceivable that it made a difference. With the unique situation of double OT we had a chance to notice it once in regulation and then confirm our suspicions in the second OT. The issue, IMO, is that the clock above the north basket at Anderson absolutely must be fixed.
In regulation it looked to me as though Samarco rushed his shot, when there were still a few seconds remaining in the session. I said to my buddy that it looked as though he shot quick, because the clock above our basket looked like it showed 1.2 when it was actually 4.2. I'm not sure how much the players rely on looking at that clock, but certainly they need to know the time and those clocks are a lot easier for them to look at than the ones on the wall or the main scoreboard. I imagine that they do use that clock.
Then we go into the 2nd OT and Moon has the ball. Sure enough, I looked up this time and when he started to drive the lane the clock on the basket was showing 1.x seconds remaining...however there was still more time than that on the clock. Clearly Moon had time to kick the ball to someone else rather than take the shot himself, but if he was going by the clock on the basket he would not have known that.
I'm not whining, or saying it had anything to do with the game, but give it a look the next time you're in the arena for a game. Certain lights must be out on that Digital display, because some numbers don't show up properly. Even if it didn't have an effect on the game Saturday, it certainly could have an effect on some game in the future. It doesn't seem like much, but I'd like to see a division 1 basketball team at least have working clocks in their arena.
Home Clock advantage?
Hammb, you really should make someone aware of this to at least have it looked into and checked out just in case. It could be nothing, but it also might actually be a problem. If the clock is off, or if the bulbs are out or whatever, they need to fix it. Especially since the north basket is the one we're shooting on during the second half. The only thing I noticed related to that was the bulbs on the main scoreboard were blinking at times on BG's score. I remember at one point early on when the score was like 12-7, our seven was blinking on at least two sides of the board. But that's not a big deal, unless there was supposed to be another number in front of that seven.
GO BG!!!

Have them also check the bulbs on the home and away team scores on the scoreboard. The way we play during the first half of homes games, I think our players think were way ahead or something.
