Vandalism result of UT loss?

Early Sunday morning, nine separate acts of vandalism occurred on the BGSU campus. The slogans "BG SUCKS", "UT", and the slUT Rocket symbol were found tagged on the 'Thinking' Statue outside Olscamp Hall, A Fine Arts Sign, a BGSU sign outside the CMA, a BGSU sign outside the Health Center, a federal mailbox, a university mailbox, and on signs in parking lots N, O, and 14. I personally believe this to be the result of slUT actually winning a basketball game against us and in true Rockette fashion four kids didn't know how to accept the victory graciously. Things like this truly show what that school has to offer its students.
As far as retaliation goes, anyone who goes 15 minutes up North with some spray paint in an attempt to exact revenge might as well just transfer to slUT and stop bringing our school down to their crumby level. My personal feelings are that we should petition city hall to enforce these students' penalties in a somewhat unorthadox fashion. Instead of fining them or giving them jail time or a mark on their permanant records (which they no doubt already have lots of), their punishment should simply be to clean/repair any damage they did to the Universsity and its campus. I believe dressing them head to toe in orange and brown and making them go to each of the nine places to clean up their mess in the middle of the day would be a justifiable salution to the problem. The clincher, to really make them sorry for what they did (since when they got caught they lied to the police and said they were here to paint the spirit rock, which never changed throughout the course of the weekend), would be to make them paint a formal apology to the University as a whole onto the rock in our school colors while singing Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba.
Any thoughts on the matter?
