Great news. I was just reading some articles on him the other day, he sounds exactly like the kind of player we want and need. I'm excited for him to be a Falcon.

...Cue all the Dakich haters....this would be a great spot for a "if he still decides to come here" jab!

Sims sounds like a very good player that will be able to help out immediately. I'm excited for what kind of season we might be able to put together next year.

To satisfy Crazyfan, I hope he stays all 4 years instead of transfering to IU or something.

Sims has signed a LOI, so he'll be here, unless he wants to sit out a year already. Of course whether or not he'll actually play is always up for debate ;)

The bigger problem though is the original poster was hoping he could play PG for us. Somebody here is very close with Sims (cannot remember who). Says that he coached him in little league or something and has seen him play many times. Cannot remember who the poster was, but I remember him saying that Sims is not a PG, he's a scorer and is best at the SG spot.

Hopefully whoever that was will chime in here on this :)

He might be the 4th or 5th best player in IN. Conley and Odon are clearly ahead of him. His teammate might be as well.

Please accept my "chime" :) For the sake of our Falcons, I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) however from what I've seen and the people I have talked to, I just don't see Ryan as our PG. # 2 is more like it. When on, he is ON!!! And he IS a great kid. Quiet and unassuming. (doesn't a pg need a little bit of an attitude?)

Don't know about 4th or 5th. Fort Wayne's got a few good players, let alone the entire state. And yes, his teammate is ahead.... Marques Johnson....gonna be attending Tenn next year of a full ride.

Here's a list I found. Top 25 in the state, give or take a few.

WHOA! It looks like Sims has fallen quite a bit. Last spring, he was borderline top 150 in the nation.

Here's a site that showed Sims' interest in schools, before BG came in, I assume. Looks like Western got a good player in Workman, who committed to Iowa then changed his mind.
