I'm getting tired of reading all of the negatives about the men's team this year, so I decided to list all of my favorite non-game related items about Anderson Arena:
1. The smell. I love the smell of Anderson Arena. I don't know why, but it just feels like home.
2. 50/50 tickets. What better way to support the Falcon Club on a regular basis.
3. Freddie and Freida. My kids love them and so do I.
4. The band playing "Blister in the Sun". It beats the crap out of Mr. Roboto.
5. The new painted floor. I believe this looks awesome.
6. The newly painted north wall. See #5
7. Nate Thurmond's number. There should be others.
8. The women's banners.
9. Basketball bowling. I love watching this game. Kudos to the marketing folks.
10. Musical chairs. I have only seen this at the ladies' games, but I think it is very innovative on part of the marketing guys.
11. The friendliness of the crowd towards each other. It's like a big family.
12. The Anderson Animal with the orange hair wig. That dude is at every sporting event.
I just love going to the games, no matter how the team is playing. Yeah, it's always better if they are winning, but BG basketball at AA doesn't get any better.

THANK YOU! Any more of those other threads, and I might have gotten dumber.
There is just something about walking through the lobby of Memorial Hall, even, it doesn't even have to be a game day that is so calming. And if you can hear the squeaking shoes of a practice on the other side of the doors, its that much better.

.. and yes, I love the smell, too.
When I was 6 or 7, I started sneaking into AA with my older brother to shoot hoops and did so throughout my childhood and BG.. in high school and in college.. although in college we used to get more often.
The only thing that beat AA was the OLD Eppler Gym.. talk about old and historic!! Plus it was easier to sneak into
